NEWSLETTER: This is one of the most important parts of your marketing strategy. Your newsletter will be used to capture visitors contact information and follow up on them with them. Your newsletter can be used in a variety of ways to provide information regarding your website, product, service or industry. More than half the people who visit your site won’t buy right away. They don’t know you, they don’t understand your product service or offer, they are not comfortable with you yet and naturally skeptical. However, as a minimum commitment, you might be able to get them to at least join your free newsletter. Once they start receiving it, they will start to get more familiar with you. The more people are exposed to you, your website, and your products, the more comfortable they will get, and the more likely they are to buy. The problem these days though is that there simply is too many newsletters and junk mail floating around. So what you want to do is whatever type of information you wish to provide in your newsletter, you must do it to make it look completely personalized which can be done by simply using most autoresponder programs and services. You want your readers to feel as though you’ve actually taken the time to write an email direct to them only. You want to use the subscribers name in the newsletter more than once, and make them feel almost as though you know them personally, almost like as though you’re their new friend online. The unfortunate reality is that people will sign up for a newsletter, but usually not bother to read them and dismiss them as just more junk mail, or a newsletter they joined that they have no time to read. That’s why you must make it a point to make your newsletters, not a newsletters in the traditional sense of the word, but rather much more like a series of personal letters that you’ve wrote direct to the reader. That way the emails will stand over a 50% higher chance of getting read. Have a way to opt-out of your newsletter at the bottom. See the chapter which talks about how to set up your newsletter in this course. As I said before, newsletters are very persuasive and very powerful tool. Create one and use it to follow up on prospects. You'll be glad you did.

POSTERS: These work better for specific events that you might have coming up, such as online pay per views, interviews, or events. Again putting up posters in high traffic locations where your target audience frequents will get people noticing your poster. The only disadvantage to posters is that they get taken down often from street locations by the municipalities. However, I’ve heard of companies launching their business on a massive scale simply by doing a poster drive and putting up one page posters all around the city. If you’re selling any kind of membership or products that will generate repeat visitors this could be an excellent way to generate that initial customer base. Again offer something free or exciting to give them a reason to visit your site.

FLIERS: You can have fliers delivered to businesses and homes at a relatively affordable cost. You can target specific neighborhoods or business districts that are likely to be populated by the audience you wish to attract. Also, a great way to launch your site. Again give them a reason to want to visit your site on the flier and they most likely will.

OPTIMIZING KEYWORD DENSITY: Keyword density is the number of times a keyword appears in relation to the other words in your page source code. Let's say your site is about football. If you had a page that contained only the word football, your keyword density for the search term "football" would be 100%. Now, let's say the same page contained just this one sentence: "Football links, reviews and scores." Our keyword density for "football" is now 25%, as there are three other search terms contained on our web page, and the word "football" represents only 1/4 of the total keywords on our page. (NOTE: Most engines will ignore words like "and," "the," "of," "from," etc.) You’ll need to review what the latest news is on the engine your trying to gain ranking in to determine what they’re current algorithms are in regard to keyword density. That way you can determine just how dense you need your page to be in order to meet the search engine criteria. Search engine algorithms change quite regularly so you need to keep on top of the latest news surrounding the search engine.

PRIVACY POLICY: A privacy policy is simply a statement detailing what your company policies are in regard to keeping any information submitted by your visitors and customers private. A privacy policy helps to build website credibility. The more credibility you can establish with your visitors, the more likely they are to develop into lifetime customers. It also helps to make you look like a well established online retailer and not just some basement operation. There are also companies that will allow you to post their privacy policy trademark on your site for a fee. These well established trademarks such as “Truste” bring that privacy policy credibility to an even higher level. Many of the larger brand name sites such as eBay and Amazon subscribe to it. There are also some lesser expensive and lesser-recognized versions of these branded privacy policy programs that you could consider if you don’t want to spend the big dollars. This will allow you to still have a branded privacy policy label on your site. There are countless resources on the net that will show you how to write up your privacy policy. You can even copy someone else’s to use as a template and then simply rewrite key sentences, that way it will still sound like a legal document.ESTABLISH

YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT: If you are an expert in a specific field, which is why you’re doing a website on your expertise, then here’s how to get established online. Find other websites in the industry that accept articles from experts or would allow you to set up an “expert advice column”. Each week or month you’d provide a new piece of advice or insight based on your expertise in the industry. In the signature file for the article you’d simply mention your website. There are also entire websites in which you can join as an expert to give advice to people. (i.e.: Google search word: ask an expert) People with questions can begin asking you for your expert opinions. You can either suggest they visit your website for more details or you can simply add your website to the signature file each time you give a piece of advice to someone. Overtime as your reputation as an authority figure grows, you might find all sorts of opportunities beginning to present themselves. Just be sure that you do infact know what you’re talking about in your industry. There’s nothing worse that someone who claims to be an expert but actually has nothing to substantiate that with. So you don’t want this strategy end up backfiring on you by giving weak or wrong advice.

ANSWER YOUR EMAILS: What happens so often on the internet is that people will visit a website, often after business hours. They’ll be interested in ordering but they have just one or two questions that they want answered before they make their purchase. Basically all you have to do is answer the email and they’ll buy. Or if they sound like they’re on the fence about ordering this is your golden opportunity to give them that last bit of motivation to make the purchase. So not only answer all your emails, but the speed at which you reply to customers is of equal importance. You should get back to people at very least within 24 hours of receiving the emails. However, many of the cutting edge companies out there answer ever 12 hours. Also be sure to personalize your emails. And give direct links to areas of your site that you want the customer to visit. If you get too overwhelmed by emails there are ways to speed up and automate the process. Such as using a canned response tool which allows you to assign preformatted responses to Control keys on your keyboard; or outsourcing the email service to a customer service company which will handle it all for you. See the chapter on Developing a Customer Service Strategy for more info.

YOUR REPUTATION: The reason you want to “stand out” by always going the extra mile in all areas of your operation is because ultimately you want to build your reputation. This is the single most important element of your entire operation. Damage it and you could lose tons of business, if not the business itself. That’s why you never want to cut corners, or try to do anything out of the wrong motives. You always want to be someone who’s “giving”, who’s “adding value” who’s “contributing”, who’s “helping others”. Those types of activities will increase your good reputation and increase your business. That’s why you should take the time to carefully break down every department and area of your business. Once you do that try to determine what’s the best way I can handle those responsibilities to ensure my customers and clients are getting the best possible services and products I can ever hope to deliver. As you increase each areas performance and add real value to each area of your operation ultimately it will show up in terms of helping to build a reputation as a good business that people “want” to do business with, and refer to all their friends and family. With a good reputation backing your offer that alone often sells tons of product even if the offer isn’t that good. Because people buy names, more than anything else. Build a good name and you’ll sell product, you’ll attract visitors, people will talk to their friends and family about you, and your business will grow and grow as word gets out, and other sites start linking up to you without you even knowing it. I guarantee it. Be someone who can look themselves in the mirror knowing at the end of the day they did something good to help someone else solve their problems. Be someone who’s focused on bettering society with your online contribution. Be someone who’s thinking long term, who’s thinking about building a runaway business success that’s going to keep on growing and that they can one day hand off to their kids. The bottom line is this, if you want your business to grow, the strategy is “grow a good reputation”. It’s that simple.

CONTESTS: Free giveaways are a great way to gain customer leads. You choose an item that your customer demographic might be interested in winner. For example if you really want to get some leads offer a draw to win a Dell Computer. There are some entry level desktops that come complete that they make at ultra low prices. So it might only end up costing you around $300 to have Dell drop ship the prize to the winner. Something like a complete computer system would represent some real value to people who see the draw. People would simply add their name and email address to a form on your website to enter the free draw. You would store their information for the prize giveaway but you’d also add it to a personalize autoresponder newsletter in which you’d follow up on them in regard to your site, product, service and or industry. Then you could giveaway the computer for example just before Christmas time so that the winner would get an extra nice Christmas gift. And there’s even another way to compound the effectiveness of your next draw. The problem is there are so many draws online it’s hard to know which are legitimate. So once you’ve chosen a winner for your draw you contact them reminding them that they entered their name “x” months ago for a free draw and they won. Tell them that all you ask as part of the contest rules is that they be willing to allow you to use their name and photo as a testimonial on your site. Now for your next draw it will bring in even more leads because visitors will see the testimonials saying “Congratulations Betty Smith for winning our last free draw. Hope your enjoying your new Dell computer!” There are tons of ways to offer these kinds of draws. See what other sites are offering for free draws. Other giveaways that work great at: free trips, samples of your product, PDA’s, Visa Gift Certificates, and more. Just don’t go too cheap or people won’t sign up, and don’t go too expensive either, because you don’t have to, and also you want your giveaway to look “believable”.

INNOVATIVENESS: This is serious marketing weapon that all internet marketers need to practice. An innovation put simply is the introduction of new ideas, goods, services, and practices which are intended to be useful. As an website owner you should constantly make it your practice to make your: product, service, marketing, website design, customer service, and every aspect of your business more innovative. See often people can become trapped in the mentality of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Imagine what kind of cars we’d be driving today if the auto manufacturers were constantly try to “fix it” and innovate it? We’d be driving clunkers. The other thing is this, your competition is not going to stop innovating, they’re guaranteed to continue to innovate so if you don’t continually adapt you’ll be left behind with the other dinosaurs that are also on their way out of being competitive in the market place. The funny thing about that too is often it happens without one even knowing it. And there are so many innovations you could add to your website that one might call “plug and play” innovations. One of the simplest types is known as a “shopping card” script. So for example if you sell a lot of different products then why not use a shopping card script which will allow a customer to add items to a virtual list or cart, and then continue shopping at your site, and then checkout when they want too. What if they don’t want to checkout after pressing the buy button for one item. That’s where a shopping card comes in. That’s just one example of an plug and play innovation that could be added to your website in a day that will increase sales. There’s tons of these kind of smart innovations that could be plugged into your site to rapidly increase your sales and traffic such as: audio/video presentation, live chat, chat bots, tell a friend scripts, networker marketers program scripts, and the list of modules goes on and on that will make your site more innovative than the competition. The other major area you definitely want to keep on top of is making sure that your product or service is innovating. You should always try to carry a selection of the best models out there. Or if you built the product then you should continually be looking at ways to make it better and getting feedback from customers on what they think would make it better. Same goes for a service you render. Staying innovative will ensure your business keeps on top of the trends, remains competitive, and continues to flourish for years to come.

MARKETING DEPARTMENT: If you’re too busy to be working on expanding your marketing then chances are you’re already doing well, in which case you should be able to afford to hire or subcontract a virtual team player who’s sole purpose is to carry out the marketing tasks, and or department of your company. If it’s just you, then you’ll need to budget time each day to do the marketing tasks so that your sales and traffic will continue to grow to the point where you’ll eventually be doing enough sales where you can also afford to hire someone to handle all the marketing tasks. The point is that someone has to be doing it full or at least part time each day if you plan to grow. Someone has to officially be wearing the hat.

MARKETING BUDGET: Once you start to earn some income or if you are already making money with your mlm business then start to formulate a marketing budget. This is a percentage of the net profits your earning after all expenses. An average marketing budget might be 10% of the net profits. Or if you want to be very aggressive in your marketing then perhaps up to 50% of your net profits. You'll reinvest those profits regularly each month back into advertising your mlm business. By constantly reinvesting in your business your business will grow much faster, than always just using "free marketing ideas". So set up a marketing budget once you start making some income and start to buy ads with that marketing budget.

COMPETITIONS: Competitions are another great way to motivate your downline. Offer a monthly prize for the person who recruited the most people, or who reached their first 5 or 10 downline members. Or think of some other creative way to use a competition between your downline members as a way to get them working faster than ever to build.

POPULAR FORUMS: Not sure why this is tucked away on page 2 but I'm glad you found this one. Using the list of forums here go place ads that relate to what you're doing, to your comp plan your products your industry and anything you can possibly thing of that prospective customers and opportunity seekers would be searching up. Target specific keywords and keyword phrases. So for example if you want your post to show up at the top of the search results using a phrase like: "how does a binary plan work". Have that phrase in both the title of your forum post and in the post itself. When you post that a lot of search engines will index that forum post. When people go doing google searches and searches in other engines your post will come up at the top because it was posted in a popular forum. So the point is if the popularity and reputation of the forum is really high then you stand a better chance of having your post show up at the top of Google and many other search engines within a few hours after you do that post. You should also ping that post by copying the URL and looking up an popular pinging program such as pingmyurl.com or some other. That way your forum post will show up faster in google and or other search engines. People will read your post and possibly click over to your site via your signature file or info you share in the post that gives them some incentive to visit your website.

SPONSORSHIP: What you need to try and find is a television or radio show or event that will air nationally or even internationally. Often they might have a sponsorship program in place or you can approach them with a deal of your own. The deal could include an ad for their program on your site to offset any costs for the sponsorship. Just be sure that the deal includes you’re company and website address to be either seen or heard on the program. The great thing about this idea is that most TV shows or events cater toward specific niche markets. So all you have to do is find a TV or Radio show that caters toward the same niche market as your website is focused on. With a large enough viewership chances are you’ll be able to gain rapid brand awareness and many new targeted visitors to your site.

DAILY EMAIL UPDATE SERVICE: For certain sites that are constantly changing this is a great strategy. An example of this could be used if you run a stock trading website where information is constantly changing. It is a great way to let your readers know of updates that have happened in the industry and on your website. Another example could be for: sports scores, news, weather, horoscopes, events, or anything you can think of that would be suitable for sending the reader a daily update on changing events. Just be sure it’s something that they would actually want to read daily information about. And keep it short and to the point so that they don’t get overwhelmed with long daily reports. This is a great way to generate repeat visitors and to keep your company and website on the minds of your prospects and clients.

REWARDS PROGRAM: Offer a rewards program to build customer loyalty and appreciation. You see this everywhere you shop these days such as: fast food chains, coffee shops, grocery stories, credit cards providers and more. This strategy works good mainly for any kind of ongoing purchases. So if you have an inventory of products, or a subscription or membership site it would work. For every dollar your customer spends he or she gets a certain amount of points. Once enough points have accumulated in the clients account they can then redeem those points. Points can be redeemed for gifts, additional products you sell, gift certificate and more. Some companies found online offer services that offer to run your entire rewards program for you, which is something to consider if you don’t want to run it yourself. They even offer up the gifts and products that the points can be redeemed for.

STUDY YOUR LOG FILES: Studying your log files will allow you to launch successful campaigns, earn higher ROI from your keywords, manage web sites more effectively, and retain more customers, just to name a few.

You’ll need to subscribe to a service or get the proper software set up which will convert your log files into real measurable data that you can use for your marketing efforts.

Studying your log files will allow you to measure each campaigns success. Identify your top performing campaigns and shutdown the ones going nowhere. Measure campaign conversion, site penetration, and qualify your campaign recipients. Did they download, register, and convert on your goals? You’ll know by analyzing your log files.

Improve search engine results, optimize SEO and PPC listings. Identify popular search engines and isolate your top performing keywords. Then qualify your traffic. Do keywords send visitors that convert on your goals? You’ll know exactly where to invest your money. And you’ll save big, too.

You’ll be able to provide accurate numbers to advertisers. Capture visitor data directly from visitor browsers. And automatically exclude false hits and visits created by robots and proxy servers like AOL.

Statistics are live, meaning you can monitor traffic in real-time and respond immediately when needed. Track campaigns upon launch, react instantly to developing visitor trends, and measure web site changes as soon as you make them.

You’ll be able to optimize customer support. It costs 10 times more to service customers over the phone than online. You can easily save money and improve customer satisfaction by optimizing your support site and keeping call volumes low.

Increase visitor loyalty by analyzing browsing habits. Design your site according to visitor preferences and interests. Ensure that commonly searched and viewed content is easily accessible.

Web sites are constantly evolving, and marketers are always looking for ways to improve content. Analyzing your logs is invaluable as a visitor behavior gauge. You’ll know if content works, and you’ll see when changes succeed. In real-time with live data. By testing new content and analyzing visitor responses, you can measure conversion, content popularity, click streams and visit length. Some popular log analyzing software and services are listed at:

FIND A WAY TO SAY “YES”: I find it unbelievable how many businesses these days will tell there customers a flat out “NO” before saying yes. It’s crazy. If you think there’s a remote possibility try to say yes. Even if it’s just a maybe instead change it to a yes anyway by saying “Yes, I believe we can do that, let me just check on that and get back to you in 1 hour”. Or something like that. Just by saying yes more often than you say no, you’ll immediately put yourself above 95% of the businesses online that generally just say “NO” to anyone who contacts them. Try to always solve the problem, find the solution, help the customer reach their objective, be willing to go the extra mile, that means saying yes to your customers and anyone who you come into contact with in your business. That means you’ll make more contacts, get more referrals, make more sales, grow your positive reputation and the list goes on and on to the benefits of just saying yes to people when you’re doing business.

PRESS KIT: If you are looking at using press releases as one of your main strategies to try and gain media attention then you should also consider developing a press kit. Press kits contains brochures, newsletters and other information used in public relations efforts, as well as contact information, press releases, and biographical sketches of key personnel. Helps an organization to remain prepared and present a consistent image when conducting multiple media events.

EXIT TRAFFIC: Some people detest pop ups, however, when used correctly, they can be powerful tool. They’re especially useful for capitalizing on exit traffic. The way to use them to capitalize on exit traffic is this. When you develop your website you’re going to have 2 pop ups appear on enter. The first one is a “div layer” on the index page of your site. It will appear almost like a “table” would look on your index page. This div layer is infact part of your main window, and not it’s own window. However, you will need that div layer to look like it’s own window that the visitor need to take action on, such as enter their name and email into it to join your newsletter or else close it. Don’t cause it to buzz in or move all around the place. That makes it way too obvious that it’s a pop up. As soon as they see it moving in, the mind of the visitor is already thinking “close this”. So have it appear layered right on top of your text so that they’ll know they first have to address that div layer that will look like a pop up. By the way the unique benefit of the div layer is that it can’t be blocked by anti-popup software. Now when someone visits your website you’ll also have a real pop up that will be set to load “underneath” of your main sites window. So basically 2 windows will open whenever someone visitors your site. The second window is the pop up which is hiding underneath your main window. Based on my experience using this strategy it’s very unobtrusive because the visitor either doesn’t see the second window appear, or even if they do they don’t care that much because at least they know they made it to your main page. So after they’re done reviewing or buying on your index page they’re going to eventually leave. When they leave they’re inevitably going to have to do something with that second window. And that second window is where you capitalize on the exit traffic. Ideally I would use that second window as another lead generator, which works great offering your newsletter, or access to a special members only area, or as a prize giveaway in which they have to enter their name and email. However, you can use that second window for anything you wish, as it also works great for promoting an networker marketers program of any product that your visitors would also have interest in. This compounds the effectiveness of your ecommerce strategy because either you’ll gain another opportunity to capture the lead on exiting traffic, or you’ll promote another website via their networker marketers program to make extra money from something else. And even though you’ll have 2 pop ups, both are so extremely low profile so you won’t have to worry about upsetting anyone. I don’t recommend having a pop up on leave. If something pops up when someone’s trying to do something else, such as leave a site, they’ll automatically close the pop up that’s preventing them from leaving. Your pop up will be different in that it appears “on entry” and remains hidden underneath. Then when they exit that’s when they address the second window. It’s already popped up so it’s no aggressively in their face and just asking to be shut down. It’s subtly waiting in the background to be addressed, which is why it’s so effective to be used in this manner. To see java scripts that will cause these pop ups visit:

AWARD PROGRAM: (not be confused with “rewards program”) If you feel your site is destined to become an authority that people in your industry respect and turn to for valuable content, then you should consider offer other sites within your industry the ability to enter your Award Program. Webmasters of other sites could enter they’re criteria at your website. You would then check over their site to see if it meets certain criteria to win an award from you. This criteria might including things like the site being content rich, pleasing to the eye, elegance, eloquence, graphics, technology, navigation, style, HTML, current trends, originality and excellence in new design techniques. Sites that get your award would get to use your branded Award image on their website which would link to a page on your site in which you would mention how this site won this award via your awards program. So anyone clicking on the icon would be end up at your site. Again this strategy works best if you’re site has some “clout” or is looked at as an “Authority” within your industry. That way people within your industry will actually respect your award as something well earned and well deserved and not just another cheap award icon.

DOORWAY DOMAIN: A doorway domain is a domain used specifically to rank well in search engines for particular keywords, serving as an entry point through which visitors pass to the main domain. This can also work well if you can find a popular misspelling of a major competitor in your industry, or if you can secure a domain that has popular keywords that people might directly type into their browser with or without doing a search for it.

MAKE VISITORS FEEL COMFORTABLE: Visitors will form a general overall first impression of your website just seconds after entering it. So the overall look and feel of your index page must really cause your visitors to form either an immediate interest or even “wow them”! Keep sentences short, under 8 words per sentence If possible, and keep them easy to read and understand. Keep your paragraphs to 3 lines max per sentence which makes reading them easier. There’s nothing worse than visiting a site and seeing huge blocks paragraphs that no one even bothers to read. Have your sites content and sales information set up in a professional looking website template. Use professional quality images on your website. Leave banners and advertising off of your main page. Check your entire site regularly for broken links, and file not found error pages. Make sure your sites download speed is fast enough even for dial up users. Use colors and themes that are appropriate for your industry. Make your navigations completely intuitive and user friendly. Use common pages that people are use to seeing and reading on other sites such as: About us, Contact, Testimonials, Tell a Friend and more. Make the order process fast simple and easy to use. Add a phone number, address, and live chat option to your main page. Add awards, and other icons of accomplishment and credibility to the site to build trust.

MAKE LINKING TO YOUR SITE EASY: Decide which pages, articles, banners, and text ads you want visitors to have the ability to easily link to. Then offer the visitor the HTML code right beside or under the piece of content you want to allow them to link to. Mention that all they have to do is add that piece of code to their website and even explain how to copy and paste it. If you have a banner that you want other sites to be able to link to then display the banner, and then under it provide the html code. This especially works well for articles that you want other website owners to be able to link to. It allows you to ensure that you preserve the mention of your name and website address as the author of the article which will become a new free link back each time someone uses your content. The more you offer website owners opportunities to link to you, the more likely you are to get new free links on other sites.

LINK TO GOOGLE / YAHOO / MSN: According to my research, if you place a link on your site leading to each of these search engines your pages stand to rank higher than they would otherwise in these major engines. If you don’t want their search engines to show up as actual links then you can simply link up almost any image or slightly hidden text link. Or even just place these major engines as links on your links page.

MAKE NEW DAILY CONTENT PAGES: This is one of my favorite ideas. Here’s what you do. Look up the top 30 keywords in your industry. These are the keywords that generate the most traffic to your industry. You can find out what they are by using the search suggestion tool on our tools page. () Once you know what the top 30 keywords are for your industry, look them up in Google, yahoo, and msn and see what pages come up. Starting with one keyword, look it up in Google. Then the first page of listings comes up. Many of the pages that show up will contain articles that offer the republishing rights. So you copy the article as well as the meta tags listed on a specific page for use on your own page. Create your own content page and publish it on your site. When you look up a keyword you might find more than one page that offers republishing rights so use them all off the first few pages of search listings. Once you’ve done that for a keyword on Google, move on to msn and yahoo and do the same thing. Create content pages for all your top keywords and publish them on your website. Chances are very strong that the search engines will quickly spyder those new content pages and give you similar top rankings to those articles you republished. As your site grows in pages of this key content the search engines will rank you even more favorably.

MAKE YOUR SITE THEIR HOMEPAGE: The home page or start page is the page that first loads when you open your web browser. Most people like having search engines that appear, but you can set the start page to whatever you like. The more people you can get to use your site as their start page the more likely you are to begin to gain a following of repeat visitors to your site, and continued purchases. To make this easy for the visitor to make your website their home page, all you have to do is use a java script that you place in the header section of your websites html. That script links to a button or link on your site which says something like “Make This Site My Homepage”. If a visitor clicks on that button, the code will change their web browser setting to make your site their new home page. So every time they open their browser your site will appear. However, avoid setting up shady programs that force feed your site to becoming people’s home pages. That is just shady and annoying to most people and will cause a negative effect. So add this to your site just as an option for your visitors.

EMAIL SIGNITURE FILE: An email signature file is a small file that can be added to your email program. That file that you set up will automatically be added to the bottom of each email you send off. The signature file simply gives your name, title, email, and any other personal information you wish to disclose. However, the signature file can also be a way to advertise your website. That way whenever you send out an email you’ll be including a tiny ad the bottom of each email reinforcing what you have to offer. As I mentioned before I do not recommend you use these signature files in either your newsletter or any bulk email campaign you do because it won’t work for those. It will ruin the effectiveness for those situations because you don’t want to give away that you’re a company who’s selling anything. You want those letters to look and feel as though a helpful friend is writing them. However, the signature file can be used on your main email program. So when you reply to customers and prospects from your inbox they will see your tiny signature file ad. I recommend setting your signature file up with just text and no images. The reason is that images take up too much file space and people don’t like that. Here’s an example of what these signature files might look like. Notice how each has a tiny blurb about your company that draws the reader to want take action and revisit your site? You can also find tons more ideas on the net on how you’d like your signature file to look:

CREATE A PRESS PAGE ON YOUR SITE: A press page will be similar to your “Press Kit” only that it is a page on your website. This page will offer promotional materials that include press releases, tip sheet, author biography and photograph, reviews, and other pertinent information. This page will allow you to offer up real time data to the press regarding your website and industry. A good example of this can be found by going to: http://www.Google.com/press/

FAX BROADCAST: There are various services online, which for a fee will take your fax and send it to your list of fax numbers. Generally it will cost around $0.06 cents per page within the US to send. This is a great way to contact a targeted list of prospects or clients. Faxes tend to get more time and attention than emails these days so chances are your fax will get read. See our tools page for details on these companies.

INCLUDE A FORUM ON YOUR WEBSITE: An Internet forum, also known as a message board or discussion board, is a web application that facilitates online discussions. Anyone visiting the forum can post message on new topics relating to the industry or they can reply to existing topics. Often forums can quickly gain a following and grow into an online community. You should choose to moderate your forum so that you prescreen anyone wanting to post a message. That way you can eliminate unwanted advertising or competitors trying to post negative comments. Setting up a forum on your website is relatively easy and there are tons of forum services and scripts that will allow you to do so quickly and easily. Visit: for forum applications.

OFFER FREE REPORTS: If you offer interesting, informative, and up to date reports, these can quickly gain a following. Other people within your industry will begin to use your reports on a consistent basis, often linking to them as well. These reports could be anything you can think of that relates to your industry that people could actually use and get good value out of. For example if you own a site that deals with realestate, you could offer a report offering detailed information on various neighborhoods in your city. Another example of a report I frequent is a site that details information on the pay per click search engines. Reports are great content that get people visiting your site over and over again. They also stand a good chance to get ranked in the search engines under specific keywords. Add your signature file to the bottom of these reports and then be sure to let visitors know that they have permission to link to these reports, or use them as content in whole.

TRAFFIC SWARM: This is one of the most popular hit exchanges online. It has already proven itself to me by sending me thousands of visitors. Be careful though because a lot of hit exchanges simply are complete frauds in my opinion. This is one of the reputable ones. Click here for more information on them.

LAYERING STRATEGIES: You want to always be thinking of layering together multiple strategies into your site design and ad campaign. You can use strategies in combination to compound the effectiveness of what you’re trying to accomplish. For example, you offer to give away free ring tones. First you have the visitor enter their name and email so that you can continue to follow up on them with a personalized autoresponder message. Then when they go to download the ring tone ask them to enter the names and emails of at least one other friend, but have form fields for up to five people. Set it up so that they have to at least enter one friends name and email in order to proceed with downloading the free ring tone. You can bet that 99% of them will give you that referral to get the freebee. Then after they complete the download redirect them to a page offering to allow them to sign up for a free company email account as well. See how you can layer these strategies one after another and compound the effectiveness? Not only did you get an extra 1 to 5 referrals but you’d also get a percentage of people who continued on to get a free email account, and by doing so becoming one of your viral advertisers. So think of ways to layer strategies within the process of what action you want the visitor to take, which is an ingenious way of compounding your strategies effectiveness. Or in other words, you’ll kick ass even more!

OFFER MONTHLY DRAWS TO LINKS PARTNERS: Often times it can be challenging to keep other sites linked to you. So when exchanging links you should find a good script or software to help you stay on top of who’s still linking back to you. Often these scripts will email any link partner if they take down your link, reminding them that you’ll also take down there link if they don’t put back your link. Another way to promote your links exchange program is to offer a monthly draw to sites that stay linked to you. At the end of each month you could give away a prize or gift certificate to one of the links exchange partners as your way of saying thanks. This also is an added incentive when people are reading over your links exchange program offer. What you might also consider doing is giving out a quarterly or annual gift of a larger size such as a PDA or a desk top computer as long as they list your link on their index page. You can get entry level PDA’s starting at $100, and Dell computers starting at $300 if you shop around (2005). You give that away and then get the testimonial from the links exchange partner to use on your links exchange offering and sign up page. That way anyone considering adding your link will see that they’ll not only get a link back, but they actually have an opportunity to win prizes. Often that’s all the incentive they’ll need to keep your link on their site and not get rid of you once they see that you’ve added their link.

ADD A LINKS EXCHANGE AD - “TO YOUR ADS”: This is another viral idea I came up with recently which has great potential. This works great for things like joining banner exchanges, start page programs, links exchanges or any number of forms of advertising. What you do is when you create your ads or banners be sure to include a tiny blurb about your links exchange program. For example you’re ad might read “Click here to learn how to train your pet in just 24 hours! Webmasters: Free links exchange” So as you can see we’ve added the: “Webmasters: Free Links Exchange” so that webmasters who see your ad will know you offer a links exchange program. They may likely perform a links exchange with you that they might not otherwise have done had they not seen that extra tag line. You can word it anyway you want depending on how much room you have in your ad. Just be sure you let webmasters know that your offering a free links exchange program. The reason this works great is because anyone seeing your ad that owns a website might at least be tempted to click on your ad to exchange links. Or if someone is visiting links pages to gather potential links exchange partners, you can be sure they’ll take down your information and exchange links with you. It also has a viral effect because it propagates itself. One webmaster sees your ad, they exchange links, now you have another ad offering your product, and also offering your links exchange program, asking other webmasters to exchange links.

SURVEY VISITORS: One way to gain feedback on your site is to set up a survey. You can set up any kind of questions you like to determine different demographics about your site. Some of these demographics you can find out by using your log files and the use of online tools, so you may or may not need feedback in certain areas. However, surveys work great for getting feedback on things such as: ease of navigation, overall impression of your site, how easy was it to understand your offer, if there is any problems with your site, how many times someone has visited your site, did they enter your free draw, did they enter your newsletter, did they add you to their favorites, did they add you as their start page, did they find the information they were looking for, what types of information might you be missing, will they visit the website again, and the list goes on and on. The other great thing about the survey is that it reminds visitors to do certain things like maybe they would have joined your free draw but simply forgot, or couldn’t find it. It might motivate them to take a second look for that free draw area of your site. This feedback could be invaluable to focusing in on the needs of your target market. This could also be used as another lead generator by which the last question would simply be having them enter their email to get some free information or gift as your way of saying thanks for filling out the survey.

MODEL YOUR COMPETITORS STRENGTHS: You know I tell people all the time that you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Someone has already done it. And if you model their success you’ll stand an excellent chance of being successful to. Look at the fast food industry, one chain started offering “meal deals” next thing you know they all offer “meal deals”. That’s because if there’s a good idea out there, you too should be implementing it on your site. Make a list of all your major competitors. As you go to their sites gather their email addresses. Be sure to add them to your links exchange autoresponder offer. And take the time to carefully review everything about their site. By doing this you’ll uncover tons of unique ideas and strategies. Compare the ideas you uncovered from all the competitors sites. Is there a trend happening in the industry that your unaware of that you should begin exploiting? Is there some links exchange network or partnership program happening within the industry? It could be anything, it could be as simple as you like the way they’re site looks or is laid out, their guarantee, or you like they’re order process. What ever it is that you think could give you an edge you should model it. Now be aware that you don’t want to copy anyone because if they’re in your industry they’re bound to find out and you could be facing legal penalties. But you can model what they’re doing just change it enough so that it’s your own version of it. This happens in industry all the time especially online. You can even model entire website businesses if you like. So learn from the best and model them. On that note I’m going to add a little something extra about modeling other sites. Our site offers an networker marketers program paying out 50% of any sale made. All the painstaking effort of creating all the products, the website, the full time customer service, the payment processing and all the other many aspects of a site that make it run effectively have already been created and you can immediately begin using to earn 50% of any sale made. So as you can see in some cases you might not even need to model a site if you can join their networker marketers program and have everything already created and managed for you. I’ve seen it happen where people will copy other peoples businesses when really they don’t even have to. That’s another reason why I decided to pay out so much with my networker marketers program because I know that anyone would be a total fool to try to go through all the headache of trying to model my site when they could sign up for the networker marketers program and earn 50% of the money immediately, without having to set up anything! Anyway, if it sounds like I’m advertising, well I am, but beyond all else the truth is that I just want to see you succeed which is why I’m throwing this in. So just be aware that if you find a website you like and you’re considering modeling it check to see how much the networker marketers program is paying out first, because if they pay out enough and they already have an established time tested revenue generator then you might not need to reinvent the wheel. You can sign up for our networker marketers program at:

ASK VISITORS TO BOOKMARK YOU: Bookmarks or Favorites are a list of sites located in your website browser. As you’re probably already familiar with them, you can access those bookmarks at anytime to revisit a site quickly and easily. You want people to bookmark you as often as possible. So ask for it in your site. One easy way to do this is add a button in your navigation bar saying “Bookmark Us” or “Add to Favorites”. That will be linked to a java scripted that you will place in the header of your websites html. That script will automatically bookmark your site in the visitors browser as soon as they click on your bookmark us link. This is also a great feature as sometimes people are surfing the net and they come across the site and they want to take a closer look at it but at a later time. Asking them to bookmark you reminds them of that option which they most likely will take advantage of.

PACKAGE ADS: Advertise your website on the packaging of your products. If you’re shipping out a physical product be sure to include your website address somewhere on the box or packaging. It not only identifies the purchase but it will remind them of your website often generating repeat visits. If you’re selling any kind of virtual product or service you can also include your website address on different ebook software, or downloads.

MARKETING ON PHONE HOLD: If you set up a phone number and you end up creating a voice mail system, instead of using on hold music or elevator music, replace that with an ad for your website. Mention something new the client might not know about. Or present some new offer, upgrade, additional item, or service that they can also request when they place their order. Its’ another tiny angle you can exploit in your marketing strategy.

ORDER FORM / INVOICE: Advertise your website on any order form, invoice, receipt or supporting documentation. If you’re shipping out a physical product be sure to include your website address somewhere on this paperwork. It also will help to identifies the purchase, reminds the customer to visit you’re website, often generating repeat visits. If you are selling any kind of virtual product often this information will be sent to the customer by email in which definitely include your signature file as well as some additional offer or advertisement on the clients invoice or supporting documentation, giving them a further reason to revisit your site.

MLM TOOLS: Be sure to develop a page of your website that downline members can log into for instruction, tools, resources and training. This should include things such as:

A step by step blue print of what they should do to get started
Traffic generating strategies and advertising ideas
Promotional software such as bulk email clients, and other important software for them to use
Sample ads, banners, buttons
Sample prewritten letters that they can email to both prospective clients and prospective networker marketers
A list of articles talking about your program. Each of which webmasters can ad to their site as additional content in the hopes of having them spydered and indexed high in the search engines
Possibly a forum to allow members to communicate with each other
A Bulletin board announcing networker marketers competitions and winners of past competitions
A list of keywords that they should market under, especially in the PPC search engines
And anything else you can come up with that would help your networker marketers to get established, trained, and making money.

USE VISUALS AND GRAPHICS: Visuals are a powerful way to imprint the look of your website into the mind of the visitor. Your logo, your template, your color scheme, or your graphics or photos could all be used to make your website stand out. Most often graphics and visuals are how someone remembers your site when they revisit. That’s why it’s so important to find a professional quality template, logo, and images for your site. You can also set up graphics such as graphs and charts that other people within your industry might begin referring to regularly. And if you design a unique graphic then be sure to add your website address displaying on the actual image that you add to your site. That way if anyone copies it to use, your website address will get the exposure. Another thing I highly recommend you consider is the use of a color wheel that will help you choose color schemes for your site or banners. The graphics and colors in your site will contribute to creating that first impression visitors get when they first arrive at your site. That is so important too because that often will contribute to them deciding if they want to stay around and read what you have to say or browse your site in more depth. One simple way to ensure you have quality imagery on your site is simply to use one of the professional website templates provided to you in this course or you can visit:

CREAT A FAVORITES ICON: These are tiny graphics that make your website address stand out. These tiny 32x32 pixels square icons will show up along side your website information both in the user's Favorites/bookmark list and the History/Address bar of the browser. Any shortcuts that they drag to the Desktop, the Quick Launch toolbar, or any other folder or menu will also display your custom icon. It’s these tiny things like favorites icons that make your site really stand out. They tell the visitor that “we’ve thought of everything so you’re in good hands.” And when someone opens his or her favorites list your bookmark will immediately stand out because it will have the icon beside it. You can create any kind of an icon image you want, however, it should be the same color as the main color of your website template or logo. That way it will have the same color scheme as your website. To learn more about setting up your icon go to:

HOLD A VISITOR APPRECIATION DAY: A visitor appreciation day is a great way to show good will and to bolster your corporate image. What you do is simply offer up something of value on your visitor appreciate day to visitors. This could be a free gift certificate, a discount, or even a free product or service. A great way to get this started is just to hold this one or more holidays. So on Christmas day why not offer your service/product for a discount or even for free. Or why not offer a free gift certificate. Visitors just love that kind of philanthropy and you can bet that they’ll get those immediate good impression about you knowing that you actually are not some heartless, lifeless, corporation. This is also great if you develop an online community that frequents your site. When they see you’re offering a visitor appreciation day you’ll add to their good feelings about you even more.

DIRECT THE TRAFFIC: When visitors come to your site you don’t want them to randomly decide where they should go. You want to dictate where they should go which is down the path toward taking some sort of action. You need to set some objectives that you want your visitors to end up meeting. So as a minimum objective you want them to join your newsletter, free giveaway, or bookmark your site. As a main objective you want them to make a purchase. In order for these objectives to be met you want the visitor to follow a path toward taking one of those actions. Remember your website is online to make money, not to let people aimlessly serve up pages that you ultimately pay for. For example have a div pop-up appear when people enter your website offering something such as a free newsletter to attempt to capture the lead. Then when they close that div popup they’ll then see your main headline to a sales letter, or they’ll see your main product or something that “captures they’re attention”. That’s where you want the majority of traffic to flow. Into reading a headline, then continuing on to read your sales letter. Or to see your product and then read about what it’s features or benefits are. Then you could have another popup when they go to leave offering the newsletter, free draw, or survey to try and capture the lead again. These are just a few examples. However, what you got to do is really plan out what actions you want your visitors to take, and how you’ll need to set up your site to capture the visitors attention to lead them toward the appropriate action. By doing this you’ll gain the maximum value out of each visitor to your site. And allow them to find the product, service, or information they need quickly and easily.

GIVE VISITORS A REASON TO COME BACK: This idea needs to be a focal point of your overall website strategy. You have to create some reason that will cause visitors to come back to your site. Many of the strategies in this section will cause that to happen such as through the use of newsletters and reports. However, you should also consider other avenues as well. For example if you can get them to join some kind of a free membership that allows them to interact with others or gain access to some vital key information such as in the example we use with our area. It gives people visiting the site a reason to come back to access the tools. Examine other sites that you frequently visit. What is it about there sites that draw you back time and time again? The main reason that you want someone to revisit is because more than 80% of visitors simply will not buy from you on the very first visit. However, over time if they continue to visit and eventually get comfortable with you then they will feel confident enough to make the purchase. So you need to create a strategy or combine a number of strategies such as the ones outlined in this section that will keep them revisiting. Repeat visitors also contribute in a large number of other ways such as becoming links exchange partners, networker marketers, telling others about your site, and more. So focus in on creating some kind of free value that anyone can access at your site and you’ll have them coming back again and again.

WOW THEM: People who surf the web are generally use to certain things. They expect quality website they visit to have several main aspects and pages that are typical among sites. So what you want to do when building your site is try to come up with something that will make you really stand out. Something that will make you visitors say “wow this site, product, service, or guy is amazing!” If your site and or offer doesn’t “wow people” you don’t have the right site. People will leave and forget about you, as there are just too many sites out there. However, if you wow them they’ll remember you. And this doesn’t necessarily pertain just to your site. It has to do with the overall experience that visitors and customers get from you and your site. So for example: you’re going to set up a 1-800 number so that anyone can call you, or you’ll get your emails answered every 6 hours, or your networker marketers program will pay way more than everyone else so that people will actually make money, or you’ll offer more reports, better articles, more choices, better and easier to use features and services. The key is to form that lasting impression on the mind of the user and you always want to give more than expected. By doing that you’ll appear as the “leader” or one of the “leading” sites in the industry. If you can do that you’re guaranteed to get them to get repeat visitors and lifetime customers.

ADVERTISE USING ALEXA REVIEWS: Here’s another underground marketing strategy that I came up with that I think you’ll like. If you’ve never visited Alexa.com they rank the popularity of websites from #1 all the way down into the millions. So for example Yahoo.com is the most popular and most visited site in the world, after that #2 msn, #3 Google all the way down into the millions. If it says “no data” then you don’t have a rank as of yet. Alexa is extremely popular and has a very high overall internet ranking. Many people will look up a sites ranking in Alexa.com to find out more information about the site. Which means targeted visitors are using Alexa to review sites within you industry. If you have a site you can look it up there and see where it ranks. When you look up a site in Alexa you can review what other visitors to that site have write about them in the “review section” which appears closer to the bottom of any website you search up. So what you do is give out some free reviews on your competitors. Here’s one major important rule if you want this strategy to work. Never ever under any circumstances give the site anything less than a 5 rating. And never ever say any negative things about them. The review should always be positive. The reason is that in the review you will add one sentence mentioning your site. For example you could compare your site to them by saying something like “the only site I’ve seen that even comes close to being as good a this site is mysite.com”. Plus never ever go overboard about you. The review is about them. You get one sentence in your review to mention your site. Don’t go overboard or people will know you’re just advertising, and you’ll quickly get found out and banned. Keep the review short, only 3 to 6 sentences is necessary so you can move on to doing the next review. Alexa only accepts fair and genuine reviews regarding the “website” you’re reviewing so be sure that you don’t go overboard with personal opinions and you don’t need to say anything false or misleading. Just be honest but always give a 5 star and always say positive things. This is so important if you want this strategy to work. Website owners look up their reviews. If they see you’ve given them a bad review you’ll regret it. But if you’re review is positive you’ll make a new joint venture partner, or at worst they wont complain that you’ve advertised your site in one line of the review. Give these reviews out to the top 50 sites in your industry that appear in the most searched keywords and at the top of the largest search engines and your bound to generate some traffic from that.

This is a great strategy so I’ll recap the important points. You must do it this way if you want this to actually work:
Remember 4 and 5 stars positive reviews only.
You get one line to advertise your URL in a non aggressive fashion in the review
Only add your URL into about 50% of your reviews.
After you do about 50 reviews on one account. Set up a new account and start over using a different pen name. (this is completely legal) Never keep going under the same pen name (account).
Never add your URL to your signature area like some people do. That’s way to obvious and too risky. You want your URL without the WWW and buried in the review so only people reading it will discover your URL and learn that it’s something similar and probably worth taking a look at.
After you do 50 reviews under one pen name you might want to buy another domain name which will be a doorway page you’ll set up leading to your main page. Then use that for your next 50 reviews under you’re new pen name.

ALEXA TOP 500: When you visit alexa.com click on their “Top 500 Site” button. That lists the largest 500 websites online that are getting the large majority of the traffic. Visit them to look for links exchanges. Also contact them to see if you could either buy a small ad or else do a links exchange, or networker marketers deal with them. Getting one of these giants on your team could be like winning the lottery as far as extra traffic that linking to them in some way could generate for you.

WORKSPACE GOOGLE: Google has it's own set of apps that help on a wide range of topics to enhance work performance and ease. Most all apps are free. Shown here: workspace.google.com These apps will help you to increase productivity in a wide variety of areas. Whatever difficulty your facing there's probably an app for that either on your smartphone, as a chrome extension, or in Workspace Google.

ADD A GREETING CARD SERVICE: Online greeting cards have becoming wildly popular over the years. They are a great way to tell someone else how you appreciate them. Offering the ability to offer online greeting cards are a great addition to any website. There are greeting card networker marketers programs that will allow you to do this. Some of them are listed at: This is another way to generate repeat visitors. People will book mark your site or remember you whenever they need to send a greeting card. It’s another way to get them to come back to your site. The more then visit the more likely they are to begin to get comfortable with you and eventually take some further action such as join your newsletter, or place an order.

VIDEO TRAINING: If you want to customize a training session or an intro to a training session for networker marketers or subscribers why not incorporate video into your presentation. You could either send your subscribers/networker marketers a video email or you could simply upload the video presentation to your website. This works great if you need to be able to show your clients a specific product, or demonstration in sight and sound. It’s also effective if you’re leading a teams such as in network marketing or your networker marketers and you to give them a more personalized experience letting them know who you are. By doing so you’ll increase the stickiness of your site as visitors log in regularly to view your latest training video. There are a variety of programs that will allow you to record you presentation using even a basic webcam and microphone.

AUDIO TRAINING: If you’re camera shy you could also use the next best thing which is just the audio. By doing so you’ll increase the stickiness of your site as visitors log in regularly to listen to your latest audio training. There are a variety of programs that will allow you to record you presentation using even a basic internet microphone.

CREATE SEPARATE ENTERENCE PAGES: Your index file is the main page of your site that comes up with someone types in your website address into their web browser. However, you can still create multiple doorway pages that link to your index file. These will be simple one page files that you will create such as explained in the previous chapter on “Search Engine Strategies”. These doorway pages will have the same website address as your main website only with a different file extension i.e.: /freetraffic.htm These doorway pages will gain listings as they are found by the search engine spyders. These doorway pages will give you a better chance at securing ranking under specific keywords within your industry. And you won’t even need to buy separate website addresses as these files will also be stored under you main websites FTP area. Just remember when creating them that you just want to cause visitors to “pass through” them. You don’t want visitors to end up staying to read your doorway page. In fact you want them to realize that they’re at a doorway page so that they pass through onto your main site. These are only set up to secure additional search engine listings.

ADD AN INTERACTIVE AREA: Interactive features to your site have a strong chance at gaining repeat visits. Ideally they should relate to what your doing. If you’re an Attorney, I don’t recommend you add a games area to your site. Some of the things that are available are online chat, forums, software, mp3s, downloads, online tools, horoscopes, games, greeting cards, and the list is endless. Think of how often you use interactive features of various websites you visit and how often you return to use them. These types of features can often gain a following and repeat visitors so come up with some creative interactive features that will complement your site.

OFFER LIVE ONLINE EVENTS: Live events are a great way to bring in a crowd as well as generate return visitors. You could hold live chat interviews, online seminars, tele-seminars and more. Just be sure they relate to your industry. One way to do this is to find a popular personality figure within your industry that has a large following. For example this might be someone who gives seminars and or has some kind of specialized training, or is just very well known as an expert in your industry. Try and find someone that has a large database of people who follow their work. You could approach them with an offer asking them if they’d be willing to hold a 1 or 2 hour live chat event at your site. Have him offer to answer questions and also endorse your product or service for a percentage of the revenue. Ask him to email his database of clients mentioning that your going to hold chat event on a certain time and date and provide him with an networker marketers tracking URL that he’ll send to his database as the link to visit for the event. That way he’ll get his commission off anyone who orders, as he’d be set up as your networker marketers. Another way to do this would be to find a speaker and see if they’d be willing rent 1 hour of their time to do the chat event at your site for $500 or whatever reasonable price you can get them for. Then find a list broker who has a reputation for renting quality email leads. Have the list broker do a mailing to the list detailing your 1 hour live chat event. You might even be able to get the speaker for free if you sign them up as an networker marketers and use their assigned tracking URL in your mailing to the list. When you know your live online event is definitely on then begin to advertise it on your website and offer visitors the ability to “pre-register”. That way you can use them as a lead or even accept payment for access to the live event prior to holding it. I’ve heard of this strategy working so well that the server couldn’t support all the people that logged in to with this authority about their industry. This is a great strategy for generating leads and sales while developing relationships with industry leaders.

ONLINE SEMINARS: Similar to the live chat event just mentioned you can do the same thing only that the guest speaker will give an online seminar. This is best done via online broadcast or video conference where your audience could see and or hear the seminar right over their computer. You could even set this up as a pay per view event along with or without an networker marketers deal you cut with the speaker.

EXTERNAL PREVIEWS AND REVIEWS: Web surfers are always looking up previews and reviews on popular products and services they are considering purchasing. This strategy can be used well with networker marketers programs. For example you could offer “reviews” on dating sites and then have links going to each one via their networker marketers program. Or you could offer a page of your site showing “previews” of movies, chapters of new books, music clips or anything that gives the visitor a sample of the up coming item. You can also do reviews on competitive products and people in your industry, doing comparisons to your own product. That way anyone looking up reviews on other sites will find your review page and find your comparison to your own product and find out that infact your product is better in some way. These are a few more strategies that keep visitors coming back again and again to find out about the latest sites, products and services within a specific industry.

INTERNAL PREVIEWS AND REVIEWS: Another way to use this strategy is to review and preview your own products and services. So all you do is create pages either internal (under your same URL) or ideally buy a new URL which you’ll place the reviews and previews on. What you’ll simply do is basically write the preview from the perspective of someone who knows the product well, who’s tried it and who’s now doing a review of it. Be sure to make your page keyword dense with these keywords to let the search engines know that this is a review, or preview site. The reason that these kinds of pages can be effective is that if your just getting started often people do searches for what others customers have said about something before they buy it themselves. By getting your review page listed with the search engines either by natural or PPC means anyone searching up reviews on your product or service will come across your own viewpoint of your own product. If you don’t like the way that sounds just get a friend or client to do the review for you to make it unbiased.

DAILY INSIGHTS: When people visit a site they like to have the feeling that someone is actively managing that site every day. So it’s good to always have something fresh and new happening. One way you can do this is by posting some type of daily insight, idea, quote, riddle, joke, comic, news bulletin or whatever you like. There are some services that you can plug into your site that will automatically refresh your insight everyday so it can run completely automated but your visitors don’t have to know that. As far as they know it will give them that extra bit of assurance that you’re diligently working on your site every single day, which builds your credibility. Also it’s a fun and interesting little piece of information that many might get into the habit of tuning into to read.

ONLINE FOCUS GROUP: In a focus group, you bring together from six to nine users to discuss issues and concerns about the features of your website, product, service or company. The group typically lasts about two hours and is run by a moderator who maintains the group's focus. You could hold this focus group in a chat room, in a teleconference, or using instant messenger. Simply send an invitation to a group of your loyal visitors along with an agenda of topics you’d like to discuss about your product, website, company or industry. Instant messenger is great for this as it will allow you to save all that was typed which you can analyze later. Focus groups should not be used as your only source of data when considering changes to various aspects of your business. However, they often can provide additional perspectives from a users point of view, which can be invaluable as it lets you see your business in a whole new light.

FREE TRIALS: If you have a members only area offering a free trial of your service can be a great way to draw people in. It focuses on using risk reversal, and allows the user to see all their missing by not joining on a permanent basis. This works great for things like dating sites, chat rooms, stock trading sites, hosting, software, and more. Free trails can often be offered up in exchange for feedback and testimonials from your users. And often word of mouth spreads faster on a free trial offer, as people are always willing to tell others of where to get or try things for free. You’ll also get far more people signing up this way. Then once they’re comfortable with your member services and begin to find them useful they’ll be hooked. As soon as they’re trail membership runs out chances are extremely good that they will purchase.

ONLINE POLLS: Many of the social media platforms allow you to create "polls" as a type of post. Create a poll. Say "what are you missing more in life either A: Fun or B: Money". So now people will vote on those. Now after some time passes and you have your poll results, some platforms like Instagram allow you to see who's voted (and some of the other ones as well). Those who've voted for "money" you can consider as "prospects", and follow up with them. Say something like: "hi how are you, I noticed you voted on my poll..." and open a conversation with them. Gradually moving it toward getting there name and email and adding them into your prospect list or sales funnel or newsletter. See what other social media platforms allow for the use of "polls" and then also allow you to see who's voted. It's a sourse of leads.

MISSPELLED DOMAIN NAMES: Often people will type website addresses directly into the search bar to visit popular websites. Because of this what you can do is fined other websites that directly compete with yours or websites that don’t compete but you know have the same kind of visitors and come up under the same kind of searches as yours. Then you can buy misspellings of their domain name that people would likely type in when doing a search. The other way to do this is to try and find misspellings of popular keywords that are related to your industry. Then you can simply turn them into doorway pages that lead the visitors to your new site.

KEYWORD RICH DOMAIN NAMES: Another way to buy domain names is to create ones that are especially keyword rich. All you have to do is find the 10 or 20 most searched keywords or keywords that directly relate to your industry. You can use the keyword suggestion tool at: to find out what keywords those are. Then what you do is do searches to find out if any of these domains are available. (Also see to find various domain registrars) If the keyword has more than one word try putting the word together or try placing a hyphen between the works. (i.e.: www.car-show.com) Also if the domain name is not available under just .com it’s okay. Try purchase the .net, .org, or whatever is left, extension of the domain. It’s the keywords in it that are important. Then you can create this new website into a doorway page specifically targeting that one keyword. So you’d emphasis that keyword in the “meta tags” and the content of the page itself. Again using the doorway to lead traffic to your main page.

EXPIRING DOMAIN NAMES: You can also take advantage of domain names that are about to expire. There are services that will attempt to secure any domain you choose that is about to expire. The way that happens is they have a program that will continue to monitor that domain. As soon as it expires their system will buy it for you. The only draw back with this is that it’s more easily done in theory and not in practice. So what I suggest is that you only implement this strategy in the event that say you find a large popular website that relates to your business and is getting the same traffic. If their domain is going to expire you can try to use one of these services such as snapnames.com to secure their domain name. It’s kind of a gray area because if you were to successfully pull it off what happen after that is up for discussion. As you can imagine the former owner would be ticked off and depending on how much they have invested in the site or how much the site is making them it could spell trouble. However, the better way to do this with no up front cost is to simply email them and tell them that you noticed that their domain was about to expire and that you’d be interested in buying their website, and see what they say. That way it’s a better win-win situation.

ASK FOR TESTIMONIALS: When you’re going to launch your site chances are unless you’ve done business offline then you won’t have any history to have generated any unsolicited testimonials. But the truth is that any testimonials are far better than no testimonials so go ahead and ask for them. Offer your product or service to your target market free of charge. Just be sure to mention that all you ask for in exchange for your trail or beta version is that the user be willing to provide a testimonial. The more testimonials you can gather the more credibility you build with your prospects. As a minimum you should try to find at least 10 testimonials when launching and 50 or more will make you look even more credible. Ask if the testimonial would be willing to provide some additional personal information such as their phone number, address, full name, photo and or website address. Use at least their name, city/state, and or photo on as to whom the testimonial was provided by. Keep the rest of their information such as their phone number, email and address in a data file just in case you ever need to verify or follow up with them. You can find testimonials by offering you product or service for free by posting messages on discussion boards, forums and chat rooms about what you have to offer. Another great place that I found to get unlimited testimonials is by going to the Clickbank Market Place. Visit: http://clickbank.com/marketplace and then visit the industry section that most relates to your industry. Then start to visit web page listings. You’ll find many of them using sales letters which display testimonials. Find the testimonials that display their website addresses and or email address. Contact those people who have already given testimonials. Tell them that you seen their testimonials on such and such a website and that you want to offer them the opportunity to get your product or service free of charge in exchange for a similar testimonials in which you’d also offer to display their website address on the testimonial. You’ll find that most are willing to agree to this as long as your product or service is something of value. There’s always someone willing to jump on board when it’s free and this is a must because you need those testimonials to improve your chances of success when you first launch.

MAILING LISTS: As you build your website you want to begin to build a mailing list. A mailing list is simply a list of your customer along with each customer’s information. The main pieces of information you need are the customers name and email, however, if you can also gather their address, phone number and other information it will increase the value of your list even more. Generally when I talk about contacting the mailing list I’m referring to emailing them, however there could also be opportunities to send out snail mail to them as well. This information can end up being extremely valuable. After someone places an order if they like your product or service their likelihood to repurchase from you is something like 80% higher than for a new prospective customer. So by having a mailing list you can continue to contact your customers over and over again with new offers, additional products and services. You can also rent your mailing list to a list broker. They will then in turn rent the list out by offering to do snail mail and email blasts to your list for a fee. You then earn a percentage of that revenue from the rental. Mailing lists also add equity to your business, so in the future if you sell your business it will be worth significantly more if you have a large mailing list. You should also develop mailing lists that are broken up into categories whom you contact regularly with offers pertaining to that person. These categories include: prospects (have not ordered yet), clients (have ordered at least once), prospective networker marketers (have shown interest but not joined yet), networker marketers (joined the networker marketers program), links exchange partners (have exchange links). Each of these types of people fall into a different mailing list and autoresponders that are constantly following up with each person regularly with your next letter. So be sure to begin developing your mailing lists.

networker marketers PROGRAM: Your networker marketers program is the most important module of your website. Setting up an networker marketers program will allow you to recruit an army of sales people to go out and place free and paid ads all over the net. When they join your program you will assign them a unique tracking URL. They place that tracking URL in their ads as the link visitors will need to click on in order to reach your site. When someone surfing the net sees the networker marketers ad and clicks on it that visitor then comes to your site, but is now being tracked your networker marketers system as being referred by a certain networker marketers. If that visitor then purchases your networker marketers earns a commission. Many people make a good living and have even become rich through simply marketing networker marketers programs. networker marketers don’t have to do all the work of setting up the business and then managing it. They don’t have to run the customer service, the inventory, they website, credit card processing, distribution of product, updating the website and the endless chores of running the business. All the networker marketers has to do is sign up, get their tracking URL which they can then begin advertising and making money with. Unfortunately the problem with most networker marketers programs is that they don’t pay the networker marketers enough in commissions. Generally 15% to 45% is typically what you’ll find, and generally at best you’ll find products selling for $100. Here’s the problem though, if your networker marketers does not make money within 3 months they’re gone. You have to get them a paycheck within 3 months and preferably their very first month. So for example what I did with my networker marketers program is I pay out 50% of the money to the networker marketers for any sale made! Now you might think I’m crazy, like why would I pay out 50% of the money to the networker marketers and only keep the remaining 50%. The answer is simple. “You have to get the networker marketers into profit”. And because our program sells for a sizable amount, the networker marketers earns a large net profit per sale. As you can imagine if an networker marketers only makes 3 sales a day their already at a point where they’ve more than replaced the income they’d earn at their regular day job. And achieving enough traffic to generate 3 sale per day isn’t that difficult. I don’t want anyone to join my program and then quit. My goal is actually to make this there new career, which it could very easily become and that’s what you want to do also. You want to stack the odds in your networker marketers favor so that they actually “make big money”. If you can do that, you’ll secure them as valuable team players for years to come. And when they start to see these enormous paychecks coming in even upwards of 5 figures every 2 weeks you’ll see them start to promote you program even more. See the earlier chapter on networker marketers programs for more details or visit:

VIRAL networker marketers PROGRAM: When designing your networker marketers program you may want to serious consider developing it as a 2 (or more) tier networker marketers program. The reason for this is that it creates a viral effect. See chapter 2 on networker marketers programs for more details. Another way to add a viral effect to your networker marketers program is this. Most of the time when you create you networker marketers program you’ll end up building an networker marketers area that networker marketers can log into to check their sales, and use your set of tools and training to promote their programs. What you do in that area is you create a form in which you place about 3-10 rows of input fields, which ask the networker marketers to enter the names and emails of as many of their friends, family, or colleagues as possible. Ask them to refer others to the program using your convenient online form. You could also place this form right on the networker marketers sign up page. If your program is 2 tier you can set it up so that if anyone of those referral join the program they will automatically be added to the referrers second tier.

ADD A SEARCH ENGINE: Search engines can be a valuable module which you can add to your site. All you have to do is visit the main search engine which you’d like to add to your site and search for their networker marketers programs or free search boxes. You’ll find they’ll offer you a block of html code that you can add to your site which will show up as a tiny search box for whichever engine you choose. People visiting your site can then use that search box to find new things. Never place this on your main page of your site. Always put it on the resource page or some other page.

SUBMIT SOFTWARE TO SOFTWARE HUBS: If you own software or have the rights to some piece of software then you could submit it to major software hubs, such as download.com, tucows.com and more. That allows you to link to your site. It also allows you to package your download in a way where you can introduce your site in the softwares “Read Me” file. Then all you do is submit your software to all the software hubs, shareware sites, freeware sites and more for free download. As people begin to find your software they’ll inevitably visit your site.

SUBMIT YOUR SCRIPT TO SCRIPT HUBS: If you own a script you can do the same thing described as with the software. Only that you’ll be submitting it to script hubs such as hotscripts.com and more. There are literally hundreds of these script hubs that get tons of webmaster traffic. You submit your script which also gives you a link to your site. Also in the script itself you’d want to mention your site and what other products or services you sell.

ACQUISITIONS: Buying other sites that are for sale and that have the exact targeted traffic you need is a way to grow extremely rapidly. This might not be a strategy you can afford to implement right when you launch, however, very quickly as your site grows you could find yourself in a situation where you have to find new ways to spend all the advertising dollars that are coming in. This is one excellent way. For example say you can find 10 sites that have the targeted visitors you need, have been online for quite some time, but just don’t have any business model to make them profitable. If you were able to secure them all and each are generating say 500 unique daily visitors and you’d be able to redirect that traffic to your main site, instantly you’d have 5000 unique daily visitors coming to your main site. Some of these website owners may even be considering just letting their domain names expire so if you can approach them with $1000 to gain their 500 daily visitors per day in targeted traffic, and you end up having to fork out a $10,000 to gain 10 of these types of sites it could still be well worth it. For example say on average each visitor to your site is worth even a lousy 10 cents. (That meaning that you sell a product for $100 and it takes 1000 visitors to make a sale. So $100 divided by 1000 visitors = 10 cents per visitor.) If you spent $10,000 to gain 10 sites each generating 500 daily visitors for a total of 5000 unique daily visitors. Now multiply that 5000 per day x $0.10 cents and you can see that you’re site would be earning an extra $500 per day in net profit. $500 x 20 days = $10,000. So you can make back your $10,000 in potentially less than a month! Now can you see why acquisitions make so much financial sense? And there are tons of well-established websites that get tons of targeted traffic but for some reason just aren’t making the owners money. Perhaps the owners just never set up a business on the site. You’ll find these kinds of sites all over. Some of the important things you’ll need to know before you can make a strategic purchase include:

How many unique visitors does the site average. You need to see there web logs, or statistics. If they can’t provide some kind of long term visitor statistics going back months even years be extra cautious.

Be sure that the visitors they are getting are all completely free traffic, and not traffic that they are paying tons of money for each month.

Find out how many pages the site has in total. The more pages it has the more likely it has become well entrenched into the search engines under many different keywords.

What is their current operating costs of the site?

What is the site code written in? For example if you’re doing to have to deal with includes, frame sets, and flash sites, it might be more difficult for you to make changes at will without hiring someone to make the changes for you.

What are they hosting the site on? If you can simply transport the site onto your own hosting space is best.

Why are they selling the site? Are they in breach of any trademarks? Or other potential legal matters which is why they’re selling? You need to be sure that you won’t end up inheriting any legal problems that they’re going to be selling you with the site.

Are they’re any client/subscriber lists or databases included with the site?

Find out what other webmaster know about them. Do a search for the name of the company, the name of the website, the name of the owner, and any other information you can look up in the search engines to see if you can dig up any information that might help you with your buying decision.

Any site you consider buying should most likely be one you’ve seen around. As you deal in the keywords that specifically relate to your product or service you’ll become more and more of your competitors and indirect competitors. Although you’ll never be able to track all the sites in your industry chances are any site you consider buying you should have seen around as you conduct searches for the major keywords relating to your product. And if they’re not under the major keywords then continue your research cautiously.

Is the site something that you would be able to really turn into a profitable business, either by redirecting the traffic to your main site, or by creating a new business model and capitalizing on their traffic.

Be sure that they’re not gong to continue doing business in your industry. Ideally if they’re selling out because they are retiring or have a new site or have solid reason that gives you assurance that they’re not going to restart any competitive site to what they just sold is ideal.

Check what they’re rank is on Alexa.com, see what they’re review comments are. See how many other sites are linking to them. See if they’re traffic is going up or down. All this can be done at Alexa.

Visit: betterwhois.com and see what year the site was started. If it’s been online for longer than 3 years chances are it’s had enough time to gain a solid amount of listings with the search engines.

Try to finance the deal or conduct a deal that requires little to no out of pocket expenses. For example say they tell you they want $10,000 for the site and your research is telling you that to secure their traffic means you could make back that money in no time, then try to borrow that $10,000 if you don’t want to use your own money. If that won’t work see if you can pay them over the course of 36 months, or a time frame that allow you to make back the money off this new source of traffic. Another way it to offer 10% to 50% down and the rest financed over a period of time. If they are dead set on wanting all the money up front but you don’t’ have the money then see if they’ll join your networker marketers program and tell them they can instantly make their site profitable that way.

See if they’ll allow you to put in some clauses such as they get half the money and then as long as the traffic is really as high as their stats claim they’ll get the remaining half. If not you’ll have the option to sell the site back to them. Or in the event that they have not given you full disclosure on any external matters that are affecting the site, you’ll have the option to sell it back to them. Best to consult a lawyer on large acquisitions.

ADD A FREE CLASSIFIED AD POSTING AREA: Allow visitors to post free classified ads at your site. This will not only generate stickiness as people revisit to place ads regularly, but it is also a way for you to capture new leads. You’d simply ask users of this free posting area to provide their name and email address to gain access.

REWARD YOUR BEST: As your site grows you’ll begin to gain repeat customers, star networker marketers and strategic partners all of which make you heaps of money. Never take that income they’re producing for you for granted. Instead reward them for it above and beyond the benefits they’re already getting out of your business relationship. You don’t have to spend a whole lot to look really good either. It could be something as simple as a gift certificate for Amazon.com. You could also select several gifts and then depending on the volume of business your partner is bringing in you could reward them accordingly. So if they made you $10,000 that year you buy them a $100 dollar gift certificate at Amazon.com. If they made you $100,000 that year buy them something larger like a gift certificate for $1000 for Dell computers (and that actually buys a sweet machine there believe it or not), or if they made you $500,000 or more why not send them a gift certificate to for $5000 from Travelocity.com or some travel site. In these examples your only repaying the networker marketers, customer, or partner 1% of the revenue they generated for you, but in the mind of the partner you’ll become the greatest company they’ve ever had the privilege to work with and you’ll have secured a lifelong business relationship.

ONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATES: This is another great concept that promotes the idea of word of mouth advertising. You offer gift certificates that can be purchased and redeemed at a later date for your products or services. People love to purchase gift certificates especially for birthdays and Christmas. As people purchase these gift certificates from you and give away it forces the recipients of that gift certificate to visit your site to redeem it. You can be sure that if you offer good products or services that new customer will come back again. And you can secure them as a lead, which you can also follow up on at a later date.

DISCOUNT COUPONS: Similar to gift certificates except these are coupons or gift certificates that you can offer at your site. Anyone who purchases a product or signs up for your newsletter could be given one. The coupon would provide the user with a percentage discount on their next purchase. You could also set up a system by which after someone has made a purchase they’ll receive an offer to get a coupon for 25% or 50% off their next purchase as long as they enter a friends name and email address that might also want a discount coupon. This will stimulate even more word of mouth advertising.

PRINTABLE ONLINE BROCHURE: It happens so often that people end up printing offer product information which they show to friends, family, and colleagues before they make their final purchase decisions. So make it easy for them do so. You want them to print off information on your website because it will remind you of your product or service. They’ll end up showing that information to potentially several other people, which could attract even more visitors. Be sure to have website address available on the printable version of your online brochure. Also include all other important details regarding your products or services, such as prices, model number, photos of the item, features and benefits, your complete contact information and whatever other details you’d like to include. There are countless websites that show you how to set up your brochure some of which are listed at:

OFFER A FREE LOTTERY: So many people play lotteries at least in North America that just seeing the word Lotto, or Lottery will make some of your visitors mouths salivate. The lottery will have the visitor enter their name and email, which will then be added to your newsletter for follow up. You can mention on your site when the next draw is. And you can do all kinds of fun things with this such as mention that a percentage of your weekly revenue gets added to this lottery. You can also give out a set of random numbers to clients and then you choose winning numbers on you site each week that people will have to come check their numbers against. If no one wins the prize money increases even more. People just love the thought of winning free money it’s ingrained into our culture so why not give out some of that free money as a way to draw in new visitors and leads.

ADD A NEWS FEED: You can find a variety of major news sites offering news feeds. You would simply take the html code they provide and plug it into your site. A small box with live news would then be live on your site. These can sometimes be another handy addition to any website.

BUY DOWNLINE SIGNUPS: If you want to speed up your downline growth, just buy downline signups by going to: www.prebuiltdownline.com

BUY A CHAT ROOM: Some major chat hubs like “Talkcity.com” are beginning to actually sell chat rooms. That gives you as the owner of the chat room a full entry screen to advertise on. Plus you can advertise in the chat room itself. The secret to exploiting this strategy is to try and get your website address in the actually “name of the room” you have available. One way to do that is when you’re setting it up, give it an appropriate title and they say “sponsored by Yourwebsite.com”. For example you could possibly title your room: “20’s Flirts, sponsored by Freedatesite.com”. That’s just a made up example. But the subject of your room and your site should have something in common, so that your visitors accept your advertising and visit your site. The reason you want your website address listed in the “title” of your room is because your room title gets displayed in multiple chat room directories within the talkcity.com hub. That means your web address will be seen by thousands of people each day. How many will visit it is hard to say but the idea is that you’re name is out there. And as people revisit and see your web address over and over, they might eventually get curious and visit it. Also you can start to advertise the URL of your room in other chat rooms, such as similar chat rooms in yahoo.com, you may get more and more people visiting and making your room there new home. And if you play your cards right you may even be able to convince your group of chatters to begin telling their friends that “this is a cool room to hang out in.” Even provide some kind of free gift if they use your “tell a friend” module. It’s another unique trend that I could see generating some decent traffic if implemented correctly.

PERMISSION MARKETING: Marketing centered around getting customer's consent to receive information from a company. How this is used for example is when a visitor to your website goes to sign up for something. You add a check box which could be either already checked or not. Beside that check box you’d have a statement asking them if they’d like to receive additional information from your company and or other related businesses. If the box remains checked then you have permission to begin sending them correspondence via email. If the box remains checked the persons name and email generally get added to your newsletter, and or the newsletters of other companies you’re networker marketersd with or have joint ventures with.

VIRTUAL PRESENTATION: This is a great way to offer a presentation of your product or service. It allows you to add sight and sound to the presentation in flash style video that plays on your website. The list of products and services that this could be used for is virtually unlimited. For certain products it can definitely add to the impact of the sales presentation. These kind of virtual presentations also boost your company image because it lets visitors know that you’ve invested some serious time and energy into developing your presentation which often in the mind of the visitor gets them thinking that “it must be good otherwise they wouldn’t have gone through all the trouble”.

VIRTUAL TUTORIAL: Similar to the virtual presentation but this time you create the tutorial for your products and services demonstrating how to use them. This is another way of impressing your customers while providing a user friendly means of being able to simply watch a video tutorial on how your product works. It could also be combined into the virtual presentation for maximum effectiveness.

DOWNLOAD SIGNS: Another idea I came across lately to that will give you some added visitors is by giving away free software, ebooks, fonts, ring tone, videos, audio files, photos, and more; or anything else you can possible think of. The more your items you give away are targeted toward items that your target market would typically be searching for the more likely you’ll attract those targeted visitors. The trick to it is that once you’ve prepared your items you create accounts at all the major freeware, shareware, and download sites. Many of these freeware/shareware/download sites are listed at: . When setting up your account you create your user name as your website URL. If they don’t allow “periods” in the username try using “underscores”, or “hyphens”, if that doesn’t work just put it all as one word. Then what you do is they ask you to create a title for your software. You name it exactly after the keyword that visitors would typically search for that item under. So the first word could be “AutoCAD” then the next word use your website address. So you might label the software something like “AutoCAD – and more free titles at Autocadplus.com”. So that way even if they don’t download your software item they’ll still see your website address and some people will even visit it. You can also create a file that downloads along with your software that you specifically name after your website. Again getting the name of your website in front of them. And in that file you could have some additional useful information that they might need to use which also will mention your website and why they should visit.

P2P SIGNS: Another exciting opportunity to gain traffic is with the P2P networks. This idea can work on: P2P networks, warez sites, IRC, and bittorrent sites. What you do is you study each of their instructions on setting up a file to be shared in the network. Sometimes that requires you to upload it, other times it’s just a matter of downloading their software which you can choose settings in the program as to what files you wish to make available to the network. If you are required to create a “username” also make that into your website address. Then what you do is you consider what types of files your typical demographic would be looking again using the example from the previous “DOWNLOAD SIGNS” idea, you might make a program on “AutoCAD” available. But before you upload it all you do is your right click on it and rename it. Rename it to include your website address in the file name. So you might change it to be something like: “AutoCAD.[Autocadplus.com] “ or “AutoCAD [Autocadplus.com] “ Before you rename it you might want to check the network to see if how others in the network are naming their files, as you want to be sure you won’t be penalized or not have the keyword of AutoCAD appear if when someone does a search. That way anyone searching for that title will first see your title available showing the title and your username both displaying your website address. Then when they download it and begin to play it they also see the title of the software including your website address. Some of those people will eventually visit your site. (Again, this is a controversial idea, and I can’t guarantee anything with it, so use at your own risk!)

MOVIE REVIEW FILE: Another controversial idea is this. It’s the exact same thing as above. The only difference is that you do it based on “new release movies”. So you wait until a major blockbuster is about to be released. A week before it’s released you begin searching for that movie file on the P2P networks. In some cases you might just be able to download a copy. Sometimes copies are released onto the P2P networks in the most mysterious ways even before the movie is released in theater. Then you download the movie, rename it to include your website address, and put it back on the P2P network for others to download. They’ll be millions of people searching for that title. And if your website has something that a lot of those people would also need. So for example you could add a URL to the title: “freeringtones.com” or you use your imagination. Then many of those people who are downloading the movie will see your URL and go to your site. The trick is that to get lots of that traffic you’ll have to have something that appears to be free and that that most people need, want and or use. Another trick to this is that when you go to download the software if you can find a private network or member area site that costs you a small fee per month to access their exclusive list of downloads it might be worth joining. Especially if you can find one that generally gets all the new release movies “right away”. That way you can avoid having to wait in line on the free networks to download it. Then you rename it, and re-release it on the free P2P networks. (Again, this is a controversial idea, and I can’t guarantee anything with it, so use at your own risk!)

ALBUM REVIEW FILE: Again you can also do the same thing with new albums that are released. This also allows you to target in one artists that you’re demographic of visitors might be likely to listen to. (Again, this is a controversial idea, and I can’t guarantee anything with it, so use at your own risk!)

DUMMY P2P SIGNS: Another controversial idea that’s similar to the above “P2P SIGN”. The only difference is that you’re going for volume in this case rather than quality. Basically what that means is your going to sacrifice quality of having the actual file, in exchange for quantity of creating enough movie/album/software files under enough titles rather than downloading the actual programs. So with the dummy P2P signs you’re not actually going to need to find the real file before releasing it to the network. Say for instance the file you want to share is very hard to come by, or you end up waiting in line for it for far too long to download it, this could mean it’s time to try a dummy P2P sign. What you do instead is you simply make a dummy file which would be any kind of a file that you make up. Perhaps the file contains a review of the movie/album/software, and or perhaps some free quality information on your website, product, and or offer. Then what you do is you do is find a list of new release movie titles, album titles, and software titles. You can copy massive lists of titles of movies from many different movie store sites. Copy album titles from music store sites, and copy software titles from warez alphabetical lists, or from software store sites. Then what you do is you continue to resave that file you made as each of the movie/album/software titles but remember you’ll include your website address in that title. To do that you just do a: “Save As”, and replicate it by simply changing the title of the movie. First just choose 5 or 10 of the most popular new release movies that are out. Then make those files available to the P2P networks and monitor to see if infact they are showing up and perhaps even beginning downloaded by the rare individual. If they’re showing up in the network that means anyone who’s searching for that title is possibly at least seeing your title as well along with your website site address, which again is not only in the title of the file you’re making available but also in as your user name. Then if that test is successful, you copy that same file renaming it as 1000’s of movie/album/software of the most popular titles. Then you make all those titles available to the network. Many people might not try downloading your file once they see that the file size isn’t close to what it should be. However, that’s okay as long as your website address is showing up under that “keyword search” in the network which is the main objective. (Again, this is a controversial idea, and I can’t guarantee anything with it, so use at your own risk!)

EVENT CALANDER: If you have multiple events happening on your site or else within your industry then this is a great tool by which you can make your visitors aware of such events. You can either create it yourself or you can download various java plug-ins that you can download off the net. The calendar will simply show your visitors what events are up coming in the next week, month and year. This is a great tool which causes visitors within your industry to begin repeat visits to keep up with the upcoming events.

GOOGLE PAGE RANK: Everywhere you turn these days someones talking about “Google Page Rank”. That’s a website popularity scheme designed by google to rate websites popularity. Ranking sites between 0 and 10 in terms, zero being you’re a nobody, and 10 being you’re a Hollywood Star. And it’s a good idea, but now it’s become one of the most vital elements of your site in order for other sites to consider linking to you or even doing business with you. It’s become somewhat of a religion of the net. It’s like how people in the club gage your golf score. It says a lot about your site and mainly because it’s Google’s brand name driving it. That’s why saying: …I have a “Google” Page Rank of 7 out of 10…..really means something online. So if you’re Google page rank is high, when you advertise that in your link exchange areas, ads, networker marketers program etc… it will command attention. The long drawn out way to get a high google page rank is to slowly advertise complete, grow, complete some more, advertise some more, grow and in a few years you’re site might actually have a google page rank and you’ll be on your way. Recently I heard of one interesting new way to get your page rank to go up significantly without having to wait forever for it to happen. This rapid grow google ranking is based on two items. 1) multilingual, and 2) multi keyword . What that basically means is this. Your goal is to simply get your website listed at the top of google under unique keywords within your industry, and to get it at the top under multiple languages. That’s where things get easier because you don’t have as much competition under other languages as everyone is focused so primarily on getting into the English based lauguage engines. But you could still secure top ranking in a different laungage and it will help to improve your Google Page Rank. The other key is that you want to get lots and lots of these kinds of doorway pages built under all kinds of different lanuages and for even obscure keywords that not many people are searching for. Because if you can get to the top in Google, that’s what’s going to impact your Google PR the most. As for getting to the top refer back to chapter 18. You may want to simply higher a professional who can guarantee you top ranking such as the one company I recommend at . I recommend them only because I’ve used them and I know they work, and they offer a money back guarantee so I know you won’t be at risk like with most of the others. You can also try to optimize your doorway pages yourself based on my instructions and the wide range of doorway page information offered online. Definitely though try to increase your google page rank, that way you’ll be able to command attention, gain more links exchanges, gain more networker marketers, sales, and JV’s and more simply because people will have more confidence in you and they’ll especially want to link to you if your Google Page Rank is high.

NEATNESS: It still amazes me how many sites are so sloppy! Consider this, if you’re not a good website designer, then hire a professional from India for cheap! (Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m just using India as an example of where you can outsource of cheap. And they need the work.) And then you can focus your time and energy on the things that you do best. If you have a site go through it carefully and make sure that the fonts match and are the same sizes. Be sure fonts aren’t pressed up against tables with no cell padding. That there’s nothing that ruins your image and that it all looks clean, crisp, neat, easy to read, follow and understand. Take a look at the top sites in your industry or find some similar sites that are “extremely professional”. What do they have that you don’t? Or what don’t they have that you do? Really take the time to examine each area of your sites and compare them in great detail. Notice little things like color, layout, style, theme, images, links, buttons, banners, text, paragraphs, what’s the differences between there’s and yours? Don’t let an amateurish looking site cause you to lose sales and business. And if you’re already making some money then perhaps consider hiring a professional to do a facelift to the site. Don’t be afraid to refine the site and make it better and tidier.

DOWNLOAD SPEED: Use a site like Netmechanic.com to check how fast your site loads. Your site should load up within 10 seconds max. If it’s taking longer then you’ll begin to lose visitors. Visitors should at least start seeing enough of it loading and at a fast enough rate that you can start reading and knowing that it’s working. If your site is loading slowly then check the size and amount of images you’re using. And what java applets you’re running such as flash or additional elements that might be slowing it down. Optimize all imagines and perhaps even consider removing some of the window dressing if you can do without it. Also check to see what connection your website host has to the internet. If they’re just running a T1 line that could be part of the problem. Keep in mind that still around half the world is logging on to the net using 56k dial up. Don’t let a slow site cause you to lose a sizeable amount of daily visitors who immediately leave because it’s not working fast enough.

POP UPS: Many surfers hate pop ups. However, don’t use them in a way to show some ad that you try to get the visitor to click on. Instead the most effective way to use them is to gather leads via newsletters and contest sign up areas. What you do is set up 2 pop ups on your site. The first one being a pop up on enter, which you’ll set up as a Div layer. A div layer looks like a pop up and acts like a pop up but is actually part of the same window. Pop-up blockers can’t block div layers from appearing, so you’ll know at least one of your pop ups will show up. Then also use a pop up on leave. The pop up on leave will also be used to gather leads for your autoresponder using a newsletter, or contest. You needs both as you’ll gain so many more leads by having both the pop up on enter and on leave. Just don’t have a pop ups appearing while people are trying to navigate your site, then you’ll really tick them off to the point where they’ll leave you for good. There’s another trick you to this. There are times where you want to turn off your pop ups. For example if you’re about to set up an account with a merchant provider or a pay per click search engine. Turn off your pop ups just before you apply. Then don’t turn them back on until you’re account with them is activated. Some other sites try to dictate what you have on your site in which they don’t allow pop ups. So that’s one way to get around that problem. As far as I’m concerned you’re going to be making them money via paid ads and sales so know one should have any say over a marketing element like a pop up that doesn’t harm anyone and is an effective marketing tool.

POP-UNDER: A pop under is a pop up that appears on enter but it loads underneath of the main window. So that way the visitor gets a second window loaded. If the first window is closed they’ll then see the pop under. Also an effective means to gather leads and can be used to replace your popup on-leave as mentioned in the previous example.

RE-PACKAGING: Sometimes people have a tremendously nice product but they’re packaging makes the item look bad, or is a turn off that’s causing you to lose sales. So before totally reinventing your product consider what the packaging looks like that you’re trying to sell it in. And packaging can make or break the sale on so many different kinds of items too. I’m sure it’s happened to you where you’ve been to the store and your considering buying a piece of software but the information on the box didn’t look that good, or you were going to buy a food item but the box just didn’t look that appealing, or any number of shopping items you’ve encountered where the product was infact “excellent” but the packaging ruined the sale for you. The same happens online all the time. So be sure that any images of your item display your item in the most appealing of packaging. And if you’re item is downloadable be sure to use “high quality” (and I emphasis high quality) ebook covers to display a visual representation of your item. Presentation is often everything and can even make lousy products look far better than they actually are. So be careful to consider the visual representation that you’re product is being displayed as on your site as it could be hurting your sales and you may need to simply repackage the item.

WAIT TIMES: Listen, online there’s one rule when it comes to waiting which is “No Waiting Allowed”. If you’re selling anything online the customer wants is 2 seconds after they click the “order button” if it’s a software, or electronic download. And if it has to be shipped it should be there in 24 hours. Listen carefully. If you sell a download it has to be set up so the customer gets the item immediately after they make payment online. If you have to somehow confirm it and send it to them in 24 hours, then your set up process isn’t correct. It must be automated so they immediately get the electronic item. But that almost a norm online, where you can really gain an advantage is by having 24 hour shipping of any physical goods you might sell. Build the cost of the shipping into the prices of your sales item. That way in your advertising you can say something like “and you’ll receive this item by tomorrow afternoon, with no shipping or handling charges whatsoever”. That sounds much more attractive than a stupid site that says “your order will arrive in 14 days and your total shipping and handle on top of the order is another $49.95. In the customers eyes they don’t mind paying “your price”. But what they hate is ended up getting slapped in the face with shipping, handling, 14+ day waits, and other delays that cause they’re problem or need not to be immediately satisfied. So always try to give 24 hour shipping, not even as an option, but rather try to build it into your actual price. That way you can say “we take care of the shipping and handling and it will be at your door by tomorrow afternoon”. People will often buy that other than looking for a competitor who ships faster. And please don’t falsely assume that in your market it doesn’t matter if they have to wait a few weeks, because if it’s there fathers birthday in 3 days and they’re looking for last minute gift, you will not get the order if you don’t offer 24 hour shipping period. And with new innovations right around the bend you may soon see services arising that allow the item to be at the customers door in just hours! If wait times are reduced to a minimum online in all departments, such as: shipping and email replies, you’re guaranteed to grow your reputation for excellent customer service.

EBOOK COVERS: If you decide to sell any kind of ebook or software that will end up being a downloadable product you’ll want to look into getting some professional looking ebook covers. Ebook covers are basically images of what looks like a software box that you’d typically buy a piece of software in when you get it from a retailer. These images give virtually downloadable products a tangible look and feel on your website. You can buy or find free ebook cover software all over. A few of the titles I list at: . Using Ebook Covers is an absolute must for anyone considering selling anything “downloadable” and will dramatically increase the value people attribute to your digital product.

VALUE ADDED: You might find yourself in an industry where you’re selling an item from a manufacturer meaning that you’re product is going to be identical to that of competitors. Perhaps you’re items are selling for the exact price, or perhaps you can’t compete with your competitor on price as they buy more stock at a better discount. In either case what you can do is compete by using value added items to the purchase. This could include things like: offering faster delivery, or offering it as a download, having more versions or models of the line of product, more colors, more options, easier and more payment options, better payment terms, more bonuses, better guarantees, a better looking website, displaying the products with more information and larger better pictures, offering toll free support, more friendly personalized support, comparisons to your customers offers showing you as the better choice, more education, training, or tutorials on the item, bundle the product with other items, offer bulk purchases, offer gift certificates, and offering free added gifts and much more. By employing these strategies in a competitive market place in which you offer the same products as your competitors you’ll instantly appear as the far superior choice to customers.

LINKS FARM: A links farm(ing) is simply a directory of links that you begin to grow on your site. So instead of just having a page of links it grows to become a directory of links in the hundreds or thousands. You can buy links, or join links exchange partnership programs that allow you to begin exchanging links with other members in the program. Major search engines may slightly penalize you for growing a links farm. However, don’t sacrifice links for search engine ranking. From all the studies I’ve seen the sites that have the most links win out on traffic every time. I’m yet to see a high traffic site that doesn’t have tons of links both direct in and reciprocal. Build up and exchange as many links as you can. Just be sure to try to get onto sites that have small links pages. They don’t have to know that you’re planting them on your farm of links. The other reason that links are important is that they do infact generate traffic. Just think, if you get your site listed on smaller links page of other sites, and you only get 1 lousy click per week from that link, but you grow your links farm to the point where you have 5000 links that means you’ll be generating 20,000 extra targeted visitors per month in links alone! There are many programs that also offer to manage your links exchange program. Just be sure that whatever script you decide to use that it’s something you place on your server and that you own and manage. Whatever you do don’t join a program that places you at risk of losing control, or losing your links directory entirely in the event of some unforeseen problem arising. Keep the links exchange scripts on your hosting server and you’ll be fine.

YAHOO SUGEST A SITE: You can always try suggesting a site to Yahoo.com for free by going to: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html However, don’t count on it much, since they offer various other paid ways to get listed it’s questionable to what extent or what criteria they use for this free program.

ABOVE THE FOLD: Depending on the style of site your building, visitors may or may not have the option to scroll down to view more of your index page. Be very attentive about what visitors see that immediately loads on your site without them having to “scroll down”. That is the most valuable realestate on your site. Growing in value toward the middle of the screen. So whatever you have right in the middle of the screen upon entry should be something that really catches their eye. Powerful headlines generally work great. But you could also use an image of your product or of something that will catch a visitor’s eye. You need to have your most eye catching information and photos above the fold so that a visitors attention will be captured and stay long enough to scroll down to see the rest of your page. And this should be done on every page of your site that a visitor would have to scroll down on.

RESELLER RIGHTS: Seems like everywhere you turn these days people are offering the “reseller rights” to items online. One brilliant way you can capitalize on this trend is to first write a unique “ebook” that you’ll sell online for a very affordable price, perhaps around $20. Just be sure that any ebook you create is infact your own work, and that you’re not breaking any copyright laws because as this virus that’s about to be explained begins to spread you got to be certain that any content in the book is 100% legal, or you could end up facing some big problems. In your sales message, as one of your ad copy strategies you emphasis that the purchaser is going to get complete reseller rights to your ebook or course. So they can then begin to resell it to others for as much as they want. So it makes the offer look really good to anyone considering buying it. Then what you do is in the ebook itself you provide quality information on some specific niche topic that readers would find interested, informative and beneficial to solving their problems. You also provide detailed information on how they could go about using those “reseller rights” and how they could begin to market and sell the ebook to make money with it just like you are. That will get the reader excited to think that “wow they now have this ebook with not only full reseller rights, but included in it is complete instructions on how to begin selling it themselves. Now here’s the key – in the ebook you link specific words or phrases to networker marketers programs that you’ve joined. So one chapter might be talking about “how to catch large mouth bass”, and then it would mention that the best fish tackle for this could be purchased by “clicking here”. Linking that to the networker marketers program of the online tackle shop. You link up all kinds of products and services that you recommend throughout the book, explaining how these items are important to successfully achieving the result that the reader is trying to achieve. When choosing your networker marketers programs be sure to use several different reputable programs in which the tracking codes are stable and reliable. That way even if one or two of the programs dies out the remainder of the programs your linking to in the book will still make you money. If any of the networker marketers programs you link to go out of business or change then immediate update them in your course so that you wont’ have any broken links. So as long as the instructions on how to “re-sell” the course are easy to follow what will happen is a viral effect. You sell to someone, who resells to someone, who resells to someone else and so on and so on. Now as the virus grows your networker marketers links remain in place, so anyone reselling the book doesn’t have to know that you’re benefiting from the networker marketers links. This would work masterfully by becoming a click bank networker marketers and using there program, or anyone else’s that doesn’t show the tracking code when a visitor clicks through the link. That way the ebook will appear completely genuine as though you weren’t referring anyone to the recommended products to make money. Any networker marketers programs where they do show the tracking code will give away the fact that you’re making money off the links in the book. So this can work as a brilliant viral marketing strategy when selling ebooks. If you did try this you could even join our networker marketers program which pays extremely high commissions and have that as a link in your ebook along with other products and services. To get free advertising for your ebook upload it to download.com and other popular ebook directories.

SUPER networker marketers: You’re networker marketers program should be open to anyone, if not just about anyone. The reason is that as many of the newbies are hungry and may well in time become super-networker marketers. However, when your just starting your program find at least 10 other “major players” in your industry. They could be direct or indirect competitors, it really doesn’t matter as long as they have the same kind of traffic that you do and lots of it. By the time you launch you should have a excellent idea of who they are as they’ll appear everywhere you look in the industry. You want those large sites to join your program. One super-networker marketers could end up equating to tens of thousands of dollars in annual revenue for your company. So just by having 10 of these super-networker marketers will sky rocket your success. In the upcoming chapter I demonstrate some ways to try and introduce yourself to super-networker marketers. Just be certain that they’re the first ones you approach with your offer. Even consider making their networker marketers commission higher as you know they’ll already have a proven history of both immediate targeted traffic and since they’re running their own site they’re sure to be reliable.

WEEKLY networker marketers MEETING: It’s extra important to keep your networker marketers program in the forefront of the minds of your networker marketers. One way you can do this is by holding a weekly live online meeting where you and your networker marketers will gather to present new ideas to the team, discuss strategies, address any question or concerns, meet new people, and go over any recent happenings in the industry. You could hold the event in a private chat room or on an instant messenger program. It’s a great way to build an online community look and feel for your networker marketers program. It’s also designed to train and motivate networker marketers to really get out there.

WEEKLY networker marketers TRAINING NEWSLETTER: This is a newsletter that you’ll sign up any networker marketers who join your program onto. It will provide training and support for networker marketers. You can also announce details for your weekly meeting in the newsletter. Be sure to keep this letter “ultra-personalized”, so that it doesn’t end up reading like just another boring old newsletter. The more training and support you can give your networker marketers through ideas like this the more likely they will be informed and motivated to go out and find new traffic. It’s a great way to grow you networker marketers program.

MSN GROUPS: It allows you to create 'groups' and join other peoples groups too. In order to create or join a group you need to be a registered member of the .NET service (free). With MSN Groups you can interact with people from all over the world and find other people who have similar interests to you. What you simply do is create a group of your own. You’re your group after the most popular keywords in your industry. Add content to your group and make it heavily keyword rich using the main keywords in your industry. Then link multiple pages of your group to your main website. You can then begin to promote your group all over the net and watch as it begins to take root and grow. You can also create more than one group, naming each of your groups after another top keyword in your industry. Off one group I created I had about 40 free targeted daily visitors finding that group and then as they would read my ad in the group about my main site they would click through that link to my main website. So there’s definitely some traffic to be won with this strategy. To see a list of these groups go to:

GOOGLE GROUPS: Google now has there own groups as well. You can essentially do the same thing with the Google groups as you can with the msn groups. See “groups” at:

CUSTOMERS MAKE GREAT networker marketers: Who better than to become an networker marketers but a paid customer who already has used your product or service and knows first hand just how great it is. You would have captured their name and email address at the point of purchase so what you want to do is add those emails to another follow up newsletter. The follow up newsletter will first thank them for their order, and provide any additional support and training they might need. Then gradually you’ll begin to mention the networker marketers program to them. Mention that they can get involved free of charge. That you provide the website for them to advertise, along with a full in-depth training program. Show them examples of how much money they could make and how others are already doing it. Then simply show them how and where to sign up for the program. Chances are very likely that after experiencing your product or service first hand they will likely join. On that note I should mention that if you are considering looking for an networker marketers program to join and promote to earn extra money then you’ll definitely want to review our program by going to /networker marketers.htm . Our program pays out a sizable commission even to new networker marketers. So if you make just 1 sale per day you’ll already be earning a large monthly income. It’s a great program, and people are making heaps of extra money promoting it. Now you can too!

TRICK BANNER: Trick banners seek to overcome "banner blindness" and "banner baggage" by disguising the fact that they are advertising devices. Typically, no mention is made of the advertiser. Instead what you do is set the background color of the banner to “transparent”. Then you add for example a series of links that simply look like text links to the banner. Or they can be designed to appear as a system alert window that typically appears during typical operation in a windows environment. While it is common for trick banners to attract a higher-than-average click-through rate (CTR), the quality of the clicks may be somewhat suspect, as visitors are likely to hit the "Back" button once they realize what happened. Additionally, since trick banners rarely have identifying information, they fail to capture any non-click response such as brand awareness.

WEBSITE OWNER HANG OUTS: Often as you begin marketing your product or service you need to find other website owners to approach with various offers from: networker marketers programs, to joint ventures, selling advertising space, selling products or services, conducting B2B, seeking out ecommerce or web-design help, and more. If you need to find information of targeted website owners only in your industry then you should look at simply data-mining the largest directories, and search engines. However an even easier way to track down “large amounts” of website owners and contact them with very little effort, then all you have to do is to find the right forums. All you have to do is a search for: “Website owner forums”, or “webmaster forums” and you’ll find a tons of sites offering forums specifically focused on :“Website owners”, or “webmasters”. The other gem of an idea I found as to where to find webmasters and website owners is to do a search for “hosting services forums”, “web-hosting forums” or “hosting forums”. Many hosting companies offer forums that anyone can post to. In these forums you’ll find tons of webmasters who would just love to find out about what you have to say. Just be careful not to spam the message boards. You have to be “very subtle” about your ad postings or you’ll get deleted.

HYPERSPEED ARTICLES: If you already own a website, then their’s a simple way to quickly create articles which you can submit to popular article websites, or industry websites that post articles. You simply take a block of key information off your website, or out of your book, training materials, or other content that you already have. Then you simply turn it into an article and post it up on a free article site for visitors to find. You probably have tons of information sitting around that could be turned into an article as quickly as adding your signature file to it. Also be sure to add your sig file. Mention you offer republishing rights free, as long as they agree to keep your signature file attached in it’s entirety. And mention your links exchange page, and your networker marketers program page. One easy way to do that without making it look like your overly advertising is to display it like this at the end of your article:
Sincerely,
President
X company
admin@
http://
http:// (2-Tier networker marketers Program)
http:///resources (Free Links Exchange Page)
You have the right to republish this article as long as you include credit to the author by keeping this signature portion. Any reproduction without the use of this complete signature file is breaching international copyright law.

FLASH CREATIONS: A new big craze that’s gained popularity online is flash creations. These creations take the shape of: animations, comedy, games, music, and video on the web. You’d simply develop a miniature flash animation and place it on the web for people to be entertained by. If it’s well done it could catch on big and gain some mass attention. For example the website Jibjab.com did some animations that were featured on CNN not too long ago during the presidential race. At the time those animations were airing on the news they were receiving millions of unique visitors per day to their website, turning their tiny comical political animations into powerful traffic generators. Once you’ve developed your flash creation you can upload it to a variety of websites that will run the animation to their audience. At the end of the animation you’d simply mention you’re main website in the credits. Even placing a hyperlink directly into the flash for people to click on for something more. You can see some more examples of these flash creations at: Frontsteps.com .

INTERACTIVE BANNER: An interactive banner gets the visitor to interact with your banner in some way. One example is that it appears to be a module or online tool that the surfer can use to find out some key piece of information by simply inputting a piece of their information. For example one might ask you to input your gender, age, and height to give you back the optimal amount you should weight. Another form of these interactive banners is the amusement banners you see where it asks you use your mouse almost like a gun to try and shot something, or click on something that is trying to avoid being clicked on, often mentioning that if you can click on it you’ll win a prize. Generally it’s gets you thinking something will happen. As a result of you interacting in some format with the banner before you complete your click. However, this is usually a disguise to get the visitor involved with the ad and ultimately clicking on it. Studies show these banners to attract a higher-than-average click-through rate (CTR).

INTERSTITIAL ADS: Interstitial ads are usually pages or a variety of pop-up boxes that appear mysteriously after you click on a link but before you get to the place you clicked to get to. These can be highly effective if done well. Alternatively they can be quite annoying. Interstitial can be quite profitably trained to appear during file downloads. If they’re interesting they will remain on screen for far longer than the usual banner so the CPM should be quite high.

FREE DOWNLOADS: Offer up some free downloads that relates to your industry which people will likely be interested in trying out. Be sure to have the person enter their name and email address to gain access to the free download area. That lead will then be added to your prospecting newsletter. Often if you can find or create downloads that represent real value to people within your industry, people using it will likely recommend that same download to their friend, and colleagues in the industry bringing you even more traffic. Your download could be anything such as software, a report, an ebook, access to classified information, tools and resources and much more.

DECLAIR YOUR PERSONALITY: One element that has been proven over and over again to improve the sale of both products and services is to declare who you are. You can declare who you are as the merchant giving the buyer much greater trust in the purchase of your products and services. It gives your website a human aspect to it and all of sudden makes you much more personalized than your competitors. Also when you begin sending out your newsletters you can personalize them too so that it compounds the effectiveness of your websites brand recognition. The other thing that happens is that you can use your own credibility as an expert in your industry to build up and upon your product and service. So not only is the visitor now purchasing just on the quality of the product but they’re making their buying decision based on the expertise or personality that’s backing up that product. Even if you’re not a real accredited expert with degrees and designations in a specific field, even one accomplishment such as starting and opening your website alone, and declaring why you did it, and why it was important for you, can be reason enough for visitors to put their trust in you. When declaring your personality you don’t have to go into too many specifics about yourself. You do have to have a name, that could even be a “pen name” which is very popular these days which also protects your name from things like identity theft which is on the rise (Check with your lawyer on that one). You also have to have your photo, and it should really be your own, as I don’t think there’s any such think as some kind of “pen photo”. Using your personality in your website and sales pitch can be such a powerfully persuasive force in building the added credibility you need for people to buy your products or services.

ADD LIVE HELP: A live help program can be added to a website which will allow you to address customer needs in real time. You might have already used one on a site you visited where you initiate conversation with the websites customer service rep over an online chat interface. This is a great way to immediate address customer needs at the moment they are considering the purchase. It also gives your customer that added sense of assurance that there is someone who works at this website and that they’ll be able to easily reach them again in the future if necessary. To make your site look professional you can simply sign up with a live help service, which provides the html plug in, and service you need to manage this customer service feature. And if you want to have an operator answering questions for you everyday and you don’t have the time to do it yourself there are actually more and more customer service companies emerging out of countries such as India that will handle all your support needs for a very reasonable fee. For example we were paying $550 US per month to have a dedicated rep working our live chat module on my other site. And they work 8 hours a day 7 days a week if you can believe it. Later I even found out that if you shop around you could find this kind of support even cheaper if you can find someone you can work directly with. Another easy way offer this feature is by adding your instant messenger contact information to the contact page of your site and mention that they can contact you via instant messenger if they have any questions or concerns. Just be sure to set up a secondary account if you plan to take this approach.

HEADER / FOOTER: Add your website address to the header and or footer section of any type of company publications such as: ebooks, articles, reports, books, CD’s, DVD’s, manuals, jeweled cases, brochures and more. That way as you begin to sell and distribute your print or electronic reports you’ll also have your website address prominently displayed on the materials.

FREE GIFT WRAPPING: Often when people order a product, they are buying it as a gift and wanting it shipped to a friend or relative. What you can do is as part of your sales presentation mention that you offer free gift-wrapping. Let the visitor know that their item will be professionally gift wrapped in their choice of a few different types of festive gift-wrapping. That way if they are planning to order something for someone else and want the item shipped directly to their friend or relative, they’ll know that it will arrive just with the personal gift-wrapped touch. This works great for any type of item that might make a great gift of some sort. Especially around the holidays when people are scrambling to get gifts sent off but have no time to buy them and wrap them in the typical fashions.

CREATE AN FFA PAGE: Although FFA pages have gone the way of the dinosaur as far as placing ads. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t necessarily still offer up a free for all links page. Here’s how it works. You set up a page that anyone can post free ads on. In order to post a free ad the visitor must simply enter their name and email address. Their ad gets immediately posted to your FFA page and their information is added to your autoresponder for follow up. You can set up your FFA page either by using an online service that offers the ready made plug and play infrastructure you need, or you can set it up yourself as part of your own website. The main thing is that most of your visitors are going to be targeted so why not let them post ads if that allows you a new way to capture that lead. The more systems on your site you have by which to capture leads the faster your mailing list grows and the more likely you are to generate repeat visitors and new customers. Visit to learn more about setting up your FFA page.

APPLY FOR WEB AWARDS/BRANDS: Take some time to surf the net and see if there some branded mark that represents quality within your industry. There are some generalized well known brands such as “Truste” or the “BBB-Online” which you can buy into which do add an extra margin of credibility to your site. However, keep an eye out for the ones within your industry that your target market respect. There are often tons of various regulatory trade companies that offer up various seals of approval. Check around at what your competitors might have as well. By adding these types of brands to your site you can increase your companies credibility. There are also web awards you can apply for but you got to be 100% certain that people within your industry recognize that award. It has to be the “Grammy” of your industry otherwise don’t add it.

TRACK WHO’S LINKING TO YOU: Tracking who’s linking to you is an important part of your links exchange program. You need to know who’s exchanged links and who still has your link showing. Some people will try to exchange links and then as soon as they see their link on your site they’ll drop yours. And you never know how long they’ll keep your link up before they remove it. So you have to have a system by which you’re constantly tracking your links partners. There are various software and services online that allow you to do this. I do not recommend most of the services that provide these kinds of links exchange systems. The problem is that often they’re system forces you to rely to heavily on them. And so if they ever go out of business, or increase they’re fees, or have a problem it could jeopardize all the links you ended up gaining. So it’s better to have your own tracking scripts or software downloaded on your servers to insult yourself. If someone drops your link you’ll then have the ability to immediately follow up with them asking them why they removed your link and letting them know that unless they put it back within a certain amount of hours that they’re link will also be lost. This will help to preserve the traffic generated through your links exchange program.

COMPARISIONS: This can be a powerful strategy that can help you to retain visitors and have them immediately buy your product before your competitors. What you do is first when creating your product be sure to see what your competitors are offering. Try to develop or gain access to the product or service that you know is going to offer more features and benefits to your customers. Then what you do is create a page on your website in which you compare your product/service to your major competitors. Create a chart which lists your site along with your competitors. Show their features and price and then show how yours offers all those features plus so much more and at a less expensive cost. By doing this you’ll preemptively secure sales just be sure that your product is infact better and that the information about your competitors is accurate, as many people will do their own independent comparisons. So whether they check to confirm that your data in the comparison is actuate or not you’re product will look better. It will force the customer into the position where they’ll be ready to make a buying decision right away rather than need to do anymore research on what’s out there. This is great way to lock in sales that otherwise would be lost if this data wasn’t provided. It also causes the buying to make a purchase bases on actually features, benefits, and prices as opposed to listening to some crafty sales person or nice sounding person from the other company who might want to convince the buyer to go with them.

TRANSLATE INTO OTHER LAUNGUAGES: This is a great idea for helping your visitors to understand your offer in their native tongue. Although it’s true that the majority of internet users can read English there’s still a huge untapped market that could be exploited in other languages. It’s also helpful for people who know a little English, enough to surf the net, but to really understand something would need to read it in their native language. The best way to do this is to hire an interpretation service which will read your site and actually translate it so that your information doesn’t lose it’s meaning or effectiveness in the translation. You should also offer a module which will translate any other pages that the visitor will encounter such as third party credit card providers. That way they’ll be able to translate any third party information associated to your site as well. These modules can be found online which provide a basic translation of words into other languages. The translation won’t come out clear by using them but at least the visitor will understand the basics of for example what’s being said on the page of your credit card processor. To see some of these tools visit:

FROOGLE: Google has created basically the equivalent of an online mall called “Froogle.com”. You can list your products on Froogle.com for free. Unlike other online shopping sites, Froogle costs nothing. Plus with Google getting so many millions of daily visitors Froogle is becoming a extremely high traffic site as it becomes more and more well known. I’m guessing at some point they’re going to add a revenue model to this but for now it’s free to advertise your products on. Visit: froogle.Google.com

COMBINE SERVICES INTO A NAVIGATION BAR: There are so many navigation bar plug ins that are coming available. Maybe you’ve downloaded one yourself to make browsing the net more efficient. These navigation bars are programs that you can download that appear as supplementary tools that plug into your existing web-browser. Usually appearing as a line of web tools running across the top of your browser. You can have a software developer create your own navigation bar that your visitors can begin downloading and using. These work great if you can come up with ideas that correspond to your specific industry. For example if your website is on stocks, then why not offer a navigation bar that offers live stock market data and tools which the visitor would have available while surfing the net. The main benefit is that you can add your logo or website address to the navigation bar so that people using it can simply click on it to visit your site. It also makes your company look like their on the cutting edge of your industry when they even offer navigation bars that have valuable industry specific tools that can help the client. It’s another option that will remind users of your valuable website.

EMAIL YOUR PAGES: This is another option similar to the “Tell a Friend” module. The difference being the person visiting your site will have the option to email a certain page of your site to a friend. This is another well recognized system because it gives the visitor the some assurance that they’re not adding a friend to a mailing list, well sort of. The only difference is that yes, infact of course they will be adding their friend to your mailing list. The page can be added at the first page of a series of autoresponders that you can begin sending to that new referral. That way they’ll get the page that the user intended but you’ll also gain the lead which you can begin following up on with your autoresponder in the attempt to gain a valuable new client. There are also scripts that you can add to your site that will allow visitors to send just that page on a one-time basis. Visit for more information.

FREE STUFF: Everyone loves free stuff. The more useful tools, information, downloads, and trial memberships you can give away on your site the more likely people are to repeatedly visit. However, you should have a revenue model of some sort tied into this, or over time you should be planning to convert this to a revenue model of some sort once subscribers reach a certain level.

CAREER PAGES: Even if you’re working at home with no employees you still might want to add a career page to your website. This could list either sub-contractual or actual positions, or it could just have generalized details and an email to send resumes to, and you should advertise your networker marketers program on that page. What having a career page does is it has a psychological effect on anyone visiting the website. When they see your link: “Careers with your site / you company”, they immediately think, “wow this must be a large company and not a basement operation” giving you immediately credibility. Job seekers often revisit career pages to see what the latest updates are on positions. Job seekers who are revisiting could easily turn into networker marketers and or customers. Also that’s one more page that you’ll have with real content that the search engines will spyder and list.

CREATE AN FAQ PAGE: FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) are a series of questions and answers that address the main questions visitors to your site typically ask. Setting up an FAQ page will allow you to preemptively address the common questions. This saves you time by having less emails to answer and saves the visitor time as well. If you find that your getting more and more emails on certain question you can add it to your FAQ page, or address it more in your product information. FAQ pages are a valuable part of any website and will save you countless hours of time in customer support.

THEME MUSIC: One way to build your brand is to get your own theme music. Don’t try to steal anyone elses copyrighted music that will just get you into problems. Rather there are many companies who will set you up with your own copyright on a piece of music that suites your companies theme which will become your own theme music that you can use on your phone on hold, your site, your audio and video presentations, and much much more. It will help to build your brand name as your customer constantly hear your specialized music which distinguishes you from all your competitors and makes you unique in there eyes.

SUGGESTIONS BOX: A suggestion box is another great way to solicit visitor feedback on various aspects of your site. It allows visitors to post remarks on what they thought about your site, it’s functionality, your information, your product, service and more. These remarks can come in very handy as a suggestion box will allow visitors to help you “refine” your website. For example there might be an error on your site with spelling, grammar or whatever that slipped through the cracks. A suggestion box will allow visitors to post email suggestions to you to pick out little things such as this. Your suggestion box could be set up as a typically email form. These types of email form are commons scripts that can be added to your site. To find these types of email form scripts visit:

FLASH ENTRY: A flash entry is a animated mini introduction video that appears when someone first visits your site. The flash runs and then your main site opens. Flash entries really aren’t worth their weight. The problem with them is that people just want to get to the juice ASAP. They don’t want to wait around to watch this video that often the website owner thinks it’s so neat. Only in some cases would I recommend them. For example: If you are a professional who mainly deals offline and you want

SITE MAP: A linked, graphic or text-based display of a website's hierarchy, similar to an organization chart. Typically, site maps break down a website's content into increasingly specific subject areas to help the visitor understand its structure, from the main navigation pages to their subordinate pages. A site map works well if you have a large website with many pages. Visitors will be able to find key documents and pages faster using your site map. It’s also suppose to help you get higher search engine rankings.

HOLIDAY THEMES: You can create holiday or seasonal themes for your site. This adds distinctions to your site and it lets visitors know that there is someone behind your site constantly updating it. It also a fun thing to do and lets visitors know you share the holiday spirit. Themes can be applied to graphic elements which define the look of navigation buttons, page banners, fonts, font colors, styles, horizontal rules, bullets, and a few other features.

GUEST BOOKS: Offer a guest book for your visitors to sign. This is a way to capture the visitor’s information to be used as a lead for follow up. You can either use a pre made script that you’ll plug into your site which is a pre made guest book module. Or you can create your own simply linking to an autoresponder.

SIGN OTHERS GUEST BOOKS: Find other sites in you industry that have the same kind of traffic you do and who offer guest books to sign. Sign ones that allow you to post comments and that show other visitor’s comments. In the comments box write something positive and also add your signature file to the post. Chances are you’ll have targeted traffic to that site seeing your ad in the signature file and visiting your site that way.

IMPROVE DOWNLOADS: In a survey done by a one university they discovered that by artificially increasing the amount of downloads that were displayed that would improve the amount of future downloads as compared to displaying a lower amount of downloads. Let me explain. Say you have a piece of software listed on download.com, tucows.com or any other shareware, or freeware website. You have it listed and it’s competing for downloads against tons of other pieces of software. What you can do is download tons of copies. Heck set up a automated macro program that controls your mouse and have it running on a separate computer to download your own software over and over again. (see Bonus 7 for details on using macro programs). What you want to do is get that download number higher than any other piece of software displayed. That way your likely hood of having your software downloaded will go up exponentially when it shows that it’s been downloaded more than the competition. The same concept goes for things like votes, hits to a site, or any other thing that is similar in nature. You can bet that the savvy shareware sellers are using this. But you can beat them if you get that macro program going.

CHAT ROOM: You can add one to your own website. A complete online chat room solution you can offer to your users free of charge. It's a great, fun way to add interactivity to your website. You can begin to advertise your chat room as the place where people in your industry hang out to talk. You’ll also build a sense of community faster than the large over populated chat hubs as people will actually be able to begin to recognize the people who frequent your room. You could also set it up so that in order to use the room the visitor has to enter their name and email address which can be entered into you autoresponder system for follow up.

ONLINE RADIO STATION: It has become easy for anyone to start his or her own radio broadcast. This radio broadcast can be added to your website as another exciting feature that visitors can begin enjoying. With so many computer users listening to online radio while they’re on their computers and online, they’re likely to begin frequently listening to you. You can include ads on your website within your broadcast such as special promotions to have people revisiting you again and again eventually becoming new customers. There are various ways to set up online radio. The easiest solutions are listed at:

FORUM SIGNS: What I noticed that happening more and more as a way to get free exposure is what I’ve entitled “Forum Signs”. It’s basically a way of putting your sign up in a forum hub let me explain. All you do is find a popular forum where your target market gathers to place postings. Then you join, but when you join just sign up with your domain name. If the forum doesn’t allow a period character to be used in your user name then try use an underscore or a dash instead. Then what you do is you simply go onto the forum and you post a message one or more of the forums main topic areas that appear closer to the top, or that are most frequented out of all the topics. So far example if that topic on Google hot and it’s getting tons of views then that’s one of the ones you’d want to post into. Then what you simply do is you go in and you place your own new topic. The key is that the subject line of your topic is going to act as your “Forum Sign”. So you place your website address in the subject line. It could be either by itself, or with some additional writing. (i.e.: gamingzoner.com – the battle for the annual crown gaming challenge begins….) By having your website address in the subject line it acts as your “sign”. Even if people don’t read the post they still see your website address. And if you place ads each day over time you’ll get people reading your posts and eventually coming to your site and translating into users, subscribers, and customers. The main thing about this strategy is it’s a way to get your website URL in front of lots of people who are visiting the forum. They don’t have to even click on your actual post. All they have to do is visit the forum and they’ll see your subject line appear within the main hub at first, then when you get knocked down the totem poll by other posts, you’re URL will still be seen by anyone visiting a popular topic area. They see your URL both in your user name and subject line of all your posts. It’s a great way to build brand awareness covertly in forums. And your actual post itself can be just about anything. The more content you have and the more interesting your content reads the better, but it’s having your URL in your username and your subject line that matters most with this strategy. Also for maximum results be sure to use this strategy in multiple forums that are focused on your industry, not just one.

AUDIO MARKETING: One amazing little feature you can add to your site to compound it’s conversion ratio is by adding what’s called Audio Marketing. There are a variety of companies, and plug-ins that all you to add this feature to your website. The feature allows you to record a little audio message. The visitor has the option to play your message with one mouse click. What this does is it allows you to add a level of personalization behind your website. It introduces you to the buyer allowing a level of rapport to develop. It allows you to provide vital data to the prospect to help in their buying decision. This is especially handy on sites that have lots of content or really long sales letters, as it captures the visitors attention, allowing them to hear a quick little blurb about what you have to offer before they invest too much time in reading over you details. That way they don’t end up leaving prematurely simply because they’re too lazy to read your pitch. It’s also great for testimonials as it allows people to record testimonials for you to play on yoru site. The voice authenticates the testimonial because you can’t easily fake a voice. That adds more credibility to your testimonials and ultimately your offer. There are various Audio Marketing services listed at:

ONLINE RADIO STATION ADS: You can also buy ad space on existing online radio stations. Do a search for radio stations that specialize in broadcasts to people within your industry. When you find the top radio station which specializes in it, then you can usually purchase radio ads on their station. Test a few ads against each other. Use a separate website address which you’ll track the traffic that is coming from that ad as they click through to your main website. If you’re ads generate enough interest continue to run them and expand to other radio stations that specialize in broadcasting to your market.

996 SCHEDULE: China coined the term of the 996 culture. Which is a work schedule. It means working from 9 am to 9pm , 6 days a week. The idea is you simply create your own work schedule and stick to it. One very famous network market said that he recommended at least 3 hours per day, 5 days per week for the first 90 days. So that might be the 3/5/90 schedule. But you'll have to create your own schedule and then stick to it. Build it into a habit. Because there's absolutely a 100% definite corrilation between your work hours that you put in and how well you'll do, or how well your opportunity will pay off. If you're not working enough at it, likely it won't work out. And even if you do put in a lot of hours, it doesn't guarantee that the current program you're in will work. But if you apply that same work schedule to each and every opportunity you try, then one is bound to work. And generally speaking you only need to get rich once. As if you manage the income wisely after you do make it, you could be set for life. But again, work schedule impacts your odds of success, keep that in mind.

YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS: The website address is an extremely important tool for marketing your business in itself. For example do you think that ebay.com would have grown in size and popularity if someone has used the name: www.number-one-best-internet-auction-house-available-anywhere-online.info”??? Of course not! If you offer high quality products and services at your website people are going to talk about it. And not just online either; they’re going to talk to people over the phone and in person as well. Because of this you want to have a website address that is short and easy to remember. You need to be just as diligent and consider all the long term ramifications that choosing your website address will inevitably have on your business. See section 1 on building your website for tips on how to choose a good domain name.

EXPANDING THIS LIST: What these ideas gives you is a boat load of free advertising ideas for generating traffic and generally applying strategies that will improve sales, repeat visitors, brand loyalty, building competitiveness and more. However don’t stop with just these ideas. Whenever you come across another “cutting edge online or offline advertising strategy” be sure to write it down. Don’t just write it on a scrap piece of paper either! One good idea can sometimes translate into a 10% to 100% increase in sales, sometimes overnight! Over the life of your website that equates to thousands and thousands of dollars in extra revenue. So you want to record any new ideas in a .doc on your computer or ad journal. (top)
